After 13 years as a chef im now follwing another passion of mine in fitness. I been doing kickboxing for over 10 years and teaching for about 6 years and have now trained as a personal trainer still using my knowlage of food and kickboxing to help my clients today reach there goals

Just because it's on social media doesn't mean it's gospel

I should sit in their Doomscrolling through TikTok or Instagram

He's gonna be numerous of different people popping up influences talking about the best way to train best way to get nutrition the most optimum way to do this exercise

Just because it's on social media, it doesn't mean it's gospel

By all means follow someone listen to their advice also look at whether they relatable whether they're actually getting results with what they're saying to do

Not just some TikTok influencer that's never lifted before never die before has no skid in the game to be telling you what to do

Have a little bit of common sense around what you're taking in and do your own research

You can't be angry with the results she didn't get for the work you haven't put in

So often you hear people getting upset because they haven't achieve the results they was hoping for

But if you're not there, putting the working every single session every single day with your nutrition, your steps your cardio your training

If you're going out and eating off plan meals or drinking alcohol

Not the cardio missing out on the steps

You can't be angry for the results you haven't got because you haven't been putting the full amount of work and effort needed to get that result

Rule results are reflected on your output of what you put into that and what effort you put in is what you were rewarded with

Not all coaches are equal

Some coaches you're gonna get on with and I'm gonna have a great experience with them

But the coaches are gonna be good coaches, but you just don't get on with them and that is okay

We talk about a lot of fun in the right coach for you one with a proven track record

That is mate that is an important port. Find someone that can do what they say they can do but you also need to be able to deal with that person because if you can't then your coaching experience isn't going to be a great one.

Talk to the coach before you hire them see if your personalities align if your values a line if you feel that you're gonna get on well with this person we tend to have a gut feeling around people we meet whether we're gonna like them or not

Second week on this program so will start pushing the limiter and increase intensity

Programming around injuries

When it comes to having a injury it's fu***ng annoying and can throw you off your game

So having a program that is tailored to you and your needs

To still make progress is a must

Just because your injury you can still make progress and gains

Just add more drugs

This is to common these days

People turn to the use of drug to try and get results

All before understanding how too

Training with intent
To diet correctly
With poor sleep
Poor recovery
And stress

Now there are time and places for the use of drugs but there is a massive understanding that need to be learnt on how to do the basics first

Then and only then should there be a look at if the use of drugs is going to help

Utilising wrist straps can help process your lifts

For years I wouldn't use straps didn't see the point until I used them one day and seen my lat pull jump from a weight I'd been stuck on for months

Our grip strength is the limiting factor with any pulling movement so by using straps or hook grips it remove that limiting factor

Enabling you to progress and focus on using the muscles your working
