Kicked off Mental Health awareness week with a visit to for my MOT
The Motor Company takes action for mental health and donates £1 from every MOT to Sunrise Wellbeing.
This generates much needed funds which supports children, young people, adults and families to access therapy support.
As a practitioner who has seen how much of a difference this money makes, I Thank you ☺️
Now fingers crossed that my MOT Passes! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 I have the beautiful little Hugo keeping me company whilst I wait! 🐶

I turned 50!!! ⭐ … eeek! It’s a big one!
I’ve had the most amazing birthday and was very lucky to be whizzed away to Norway by the Hubby 🥰
I took an early morning dip in the Arctic Ocean, spent 2 hours staring in awe (& crying a little) at the northern lights and felt just amazing being surrounded by such an awesome landscape & the freshest air ❄️
🌳 I’ve tried to stay connected to nature since coming home 🍃 I’ve watched a starling murmuration against a stunning sunset (wow!), visited the farm with my gorgeous little grandson, noticed spring blossoming in my garden & enjoyed a 5 o’clock start to take in the Sunrise at Bradgate park with the Sunrise Wellbeing team 🌅
I am often guilty of not stopping enough & taking time out to enjoy those wonderful glimmers of nature around me, so for my 50th year my goal is to catch more sunrises & sunsets 🌅 To get outside more 🌳 and to take more time to notice because it feels great when you do!

❤️Breast Cancer Therapy Group❤️

✨Why do I want to set up this group?
I have worked within the area of breast cancer for a number of years (charities, NHS and Private Practice). As a therapist I undertook research during my MSc to find out about the impact of breast cancer during Covid-19. It was this research that has fuelled my passion project to create a community for those impacted by breast cancer.

✨What is my experience in facilitating groups?
With a background in teaching, I have planned, organised, and facilitated numerous groups both for adults and children. I have completed a creative course with that has helped me to develop these skills further and apply it therapeutically. I am excited to work with clients in a therapeutic and creative capacity.

✨Outline of the 6 Week Course - I have designed a 6 Week Course that matches the themes that I discovered in my research. In these sessions, we will work as a group to explore the experience of breast cancer, process emotions, and share thoughts. We will use creative techniques to process these experiences. The therapist will share psychoeducation to help you make sense of your journey. There will be relaxation techniques and coping strategies included. These sessions will include refreshments and time to chat at the end to encourage a sense of community.

Session 1 – Theme: Establishing group connection and shared values. Expressing emotions and experiences.
Session 2 - Theme: Navigating challenges during treatment. Identifying and overcoming obstacles.
Session 3 -Theme: Managing anxiety and worry.
Session 4 - Theme: Processing grief and change.
Session 5 - Theme: Connection and support systems. Finding strength in Community
Session 6 - Theme: Building resilience through self-care. Honouring the journey whilst embracing new beginnings.

The review below is for The MOTOR Company who kindly donate £1 to Sunrise Wellbeing for every MOT that they carry out 👏🏼 Sunrise will then use these donations to support families to access therapy & support for their children 🌟

I have personally been able to successfully apply for funds to enable my clients to have some financial support towards the cost of their sessions, when it would have otherwise not been doable for them.

Please, please consider going to them next time your car needs an MOT … not only are they a great garage, they are really making a big difference to our community too.

Well done and Thank you to all at The Motor Company 😊

Sometimes as professionals we forget to bring it back to the beginning. In the early days of Bridge the Gap it was all about empowering parents with information that counts, the stuff when studying that had a profound impact on me.

I’m feeling more and more drawn, through conversations, private consultations and training, to strip it all back - hence why I’m putting on this free webinar for parents.

Sign up online and I’ll talk you through what emotional literacy is, how emotions drive our child’s behaviour and share practical ways you can support this in the home - I’ll leave time for questions too.

Please can you share - let’s reconnect, both to each other and the principles of what Bridge the Gap is built on.

With love, Jennifer 🌈♥️💚
