Happy 2026
In January 1966, Srila Prabhupada was staying alone in an apartment, enduring the bitter cold of New York City.
In July 1966, Srila Prabhupada was setting up ISKCON with a handful of devotees.
In 2026, 60 years later, here we all are under the shelter of Srila Prabhupada, who has brought us together in the service of Radha Madhava in the heart of Leicester.
Itās hard to fathom the depth of Srila Prabhupadaās compassion by which he carried the treasure of the holy name to all parts of the world. During yesterdayās kirtan, looking up at Srila Prabhupadaās smile was a confirmation that his compassion continues to flow to each of us, for all of us, and for others who are yet to experience this treasure.
Entering this special year, Iād like to thank all the devotees of ISKCON Leicester - dedicated in service, progressing our mission, shouldering responsibility and the sincerity of purpose to live and serve Srila Prabhupadaās compassion.
May Srila Prabhupada and Radha Madhavaās blessings carry us through the auspicious year of 2026 as we collectively celebrate three massive milestones:
- 60th anniversary of ISKCON
- 15th anniversary of 31 Granby Street, the home of ISKCON Leicester
- 10th anniversary of Radha Madhava in Leicester
I pray these milestones bring us all even more closer together in service to Radha Madhava and as instruments of Srila Prabhupadaās compassion.
Of all the aspects of service, one major area of focus will be the temple renovations and offering Radha Madhava a new altar.
May it be a blessed year for us all.
Thank you very much
