Thank you all for coming to Sign & Rhyme today at Bagworth Community Centre🥰. We welcomed a new family☺️, and we met Freddie's little baby sister ☺️. We also met one of the dads😊 who brought his little ones this week - it was great to meet you all and I hope you all enjoyed the session🥰.

We are still continuing with our 'Signs of the Week' and this week we learnt 'MORE' and 'FINISHED' 🥰. Such great signs to learn as you can use these throughout your daily routine with your little ones.
MORE, this can be used for
MORE splashes in the bath
MORE food
MORE tickles
⭐️Remember to pause for a little while, then say and sign MORE⭐️

FINISHED, this can be used for
FINISHED - when they have finished eating
FINISHED - when you have finished reading a story
FINISHED - when its time to leave the park. Do remember when you have said FINISHED' at the park, you do mean finished, then leave the park with your little ones. There may be tears to begin with, but they will soon understand that 'finished' means 'finished'🤩
⭐️Repetition is key to success when signing⭐️
⭐️Remember to say and sign the word at the same time⭐️

Lovely signing from our little ones today 🥰. Well done to one of our little girls who washed the Dolly's face for our bath time song🥰, but told us she didn't want to wash Dolly's legs 🤣. Great communication🥰.

We had some lovely animals on the farm, we had a cockerel🐓, a dog🐕and a pig🐖. Then we clapped out some animals, we had elephant🐘👏👏👏, and cat🐈‍⬛👏. Well done all of you🥳.

Thank you all for coming today🥰. It was lovely to see you. Apologies for my voice today, hopefully it will be better soon 😍.

I hope you are able to use the signs you learnt today with your little ones 🥰. Children can understand so much before they have the ability to speak, so learning just a few signs can make all the difference, and it can reduce frustration for you and your child.😍

There are a few important rules to remember when signing to your little ones -
🤗Always say and sign the word at the same time
🤗Use facial expression to convey meaning
🤗Be consistent, and be patient - your child needs to hear and understand words before they are able to use them - and this is the same with signing, it doesn't happen overnight

Once your children are consistent at saying/signing at one word level - 'Car', add another word 'Car gone' or 'Big car'. This helps to extend their language development. 🤗.

We had a lovely time at Incy Wincy’s Preschool - Bagworth this morning🥰.

The children learnt some signing words 'MILK', 'ALL GONE', as well as 'BANANA, STRAWBERRY and FOOD' 🥳.

They did really good listening at story time, our books were 'Cock-a-moo moo' and ' Say hello to the animals'🥰We heard lots of lovely animal sounds too 😍.

Our sparkly box is back, and it was great to hear the children trying to guess what food was in the box🤔. We had - Chocolate🍫 , banana🍌 , cake🍰, apple🍏 and crisps. Yummy 😋.

I shall look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday🥰.

Happy Wednesday at Sign and Rhyme this morning ✨️. It was so lovely to see you all, and hearing about your Christmas 🎄.

Welcome to our new family today, we hope you both enjoyed the session 😊.

We had lots of fun with our songs, and instruments 🥰, and it was lovely to see one of our young girls helping her younger brother to play the drum 🥁 🙂

I think you enjoyed our circle songs, especially our Dinosaur song, when we had to try and catch the children 🤣, lots of giggles and squeals from you all, 🥰and then a nice relaxing one with Di**le Dangle 😴 FAB-U-LOUS XX

Lovely to see you all at Incy Wincy’s Preschool - Bagworth this morning🥰.The children were very excited that they had seen Santa over Christmas 🎅.

Fantastic tapping and clapping out what Christmas presents you had 🥳. We had 'Motorbike🏍️👏👏👏', 'Fire Engine🚒👏👏👏👏', 'Train🚂👏' and 'Teddy Bear🐻👏👏👏' FAB-U-LOUS. Well done all of you 🥳.

One of the boys asked if he could have the box - unfortunately I didn't have the box today, but as it has been requested I will bring it next week😍. I wonder what I shall put in it 🤔.

I hope you all have a great week, and I shall look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday🤩.
