💙‘Wellbeing Wednesday’ 🧡

At iBC Healthcare, our values guide everything we do.

From the way we support the individuals in our care, to how we work together as colleagues, our values shape our culture and help us deliver compassionate, high-quality care every day.
Working in health and social care means making a difference in people’s lives, and having strong values helps ensure we stay focused on what truly matters – respect, dignity, teamwork and professionalism.

Our People & Culture team is proud to support a workplace where these values are lived every day by our incredible colleagues. Our values reflect who we are, what we believe in, and the standards we hold ourselves to as we continue supporting the communities we serve.

🪴Our values are:
• Empower people to make the Choices they want to in their life
• Encourage those in our care to be in Control where ever practicable
• Ensure Dignity is maintained at all times
• We will promote Independence as much as possible
• We will work in a way to promote our service user’s Equality
• Everyone’s Safety is of paramount importance to us

⭐Trauma Sensitive Care ⭐

Last week our L & D team delivered a Trauma Sensitive Care session for our Dovecote team.

What really stood out was the commitment from management who attended alongside the team. Their presence reinforces just how important trauma‑sensitive practice is in creating a culture of understanding, safety, and compassion.

At IBC Healthcare, we know that when leaders model trauma‑informed values, it strengthens the whole culture — supporting staff, empowering teams, and ultimately improving the experience of the people we support. 💙🧡

🌟 Quality in Action at Supported Living South Yorkshire 🌟

Last week our centralised Quality Team visited our Supported Living South Yorkshire service for a mock inspection aligned to our Quality Assurance Framework. These visits are a key part of how we continually monitor, strengthen, and celebrate quality across our services.

By using the CQC’s Single Assessment Framework, our Quality Team provides supportive, constructive feedback — shining a light on what we’re doing brilliantly and identifying opportunities to grow even further.

And as you can see from the photo below, these visits aren’t something to fear. They’re collaborative, positive, and genuinely welcomed by our teams. Together, we’re always learning, always improving, and always putting people first. 💙

🌷 Happy Mother’s Day from iBC Healthcare 🌷

Today, we’re celebrating all the incredible mums, mother figures, families, and caregivers who inspire us every single day.

At iBC Healthcare, we see the extraordinary impact that nurturing, guidance, and unconditional care have on the lives of the people we support. Whether you are a mum, a carer who feels like a mum, a colleague balancing work and family, or someone who supports others with genuine compassion — we appreciate you.

Your strength, kindness, and resilience help create the safe, supportive environments that make our services feel like home. 💙

To all the mothers and mother figures in our iBC community — thank you for everything you do, today and every day.

Wishing you a wonderful and well‑deserved Mother’s Day. 💐

✨ A Journey of Growth & Independence: Celebrating GT’s Progress!✨

We’re thrilled to share an inspiring good‑news story from Recreation Road, where GT has been flourishing since moving into his supported living home just over a year ago. With a consistent, dedicated team and truly person‑centred support, GT has grown in confidence, independence, and wellbeing — and the results speak for themselves. 💙

🌟 Growing Independence
GT now prepares his own meals (including his signature lemon curd sandwich!), shops with minimal support, attends appointments confidently, and manages his daily routines with increasing independence. His warm and friendly personality shines through every day.

🌟 Positive Changes at Home
The team has seen a remarkable reduction in incidents, and GT now completes his personal care and laundry independently. His stability and confidence continue to grow.

🌟 Building Life Skills
GT manages household tasks, budgets well, withdraws money, pays independently, and interacts more confidently with others. His routines — from morning walks to shopping trips — reflect how far he’s come.

🌟 In His Own Words
“I’ve been happier ever since I came here. I feel more supported than before. I’m happy to do things on my own while staff supervise me.”

🌟 A Proud Moment for Family
GT’s family has seen huge progress in his housekeeping skills, behaviour, and overall happiness:
“It’s a joy to see him thriving. We’re very proud of him and grateful for the support he receives.”

GT’s journey is a powerful reminder of what compassionate, consistent, person‑centred support can achieve. We’re incredibly proud of him — and excited to see what he’ll accomplish next. 💫

📣 Mental Health First Aider Training

At IBC Healthcare, we’re committed to creating a workplace where people feel seen, heard and supported.

Over two days last week, colleagues from across our Central Support teams — from Payroll to People & Culture to Quality — took part in our first ever Mental Health First Aider training, expertly delivered by Bernadette and Lizzie.

“It was fantastic to see colleagues engaging so openly and positively in our Mental Health First Aider session. Creating a workplace where people feel able to talk and support one another really matters to us, and this session was a great step in continuing that commitment.”
— Daniel Wade - Head of Learning & Development

“When colleagues become Mental Health First Aiders, they help create a workplace where people feel seen, heard and supported – and where early conversations can make a lasting difference.”
— Lizzie - Mental Health First Aid Trainer

A huge well done to everyone involved — and to our incredible trainers for leading such meaningful sessions. 💙

Here’s to building an even stronger culture of compassion and support across IBC.
