Harley House offers elderly residents the next best thing to home with the highest level of quality care. We offer respite, day care, or long term care. We have a dedicated staff team who pride themselves in putting residents’ personal preferences, wellbeing, independence and safety at the heart of everything that they do. Our Chefs can cater for all types of cuisine. The property has three levels, all offering comfortable, homely rooms. All rooms are tastefully decorated to enhance the cosy atmosphere of the home. We have a lovely patio and landscaped garden area where residents can sit in the garden.

Harley House countdown to the big day 🎄

We’ve been getting wonderfully creative this festive season, and this year our residents have enjoyed more than one Advent countdown, because one just isn’t enough!

Our residents printed the brick pattern, built the chimney, and added 24 stick levels. Each day, one stick is removed, and Santa moves a little closer to his very busy night.

In the words of our residents:
“There are 24 stick levels before Santa burns his bum in the fireplace!”

And because one Advent wasn’t enough, there’s been even more fun, a daily envelope hunt across three Christmas trees, plus not one but two chocolate Advent calendars.

We love to celebrate at Harley House! 🎉

We’ve had three special birthdays this month, and each brought its own lovely moment to our Harley House family.

First, our nurse Maria, who continues to bring calm, kindness, and steady care to our residents every single day. Working at 70, she’s proof that dedication has no age limit, and we’re incredibly grateful for all she brings to our home.

A warm, happy birthday and welcome to John, our newest resident, who celebrated his first birthday with us. It was lovely to mark his special day and help him feel right at home.

And last (but never least!) our Deputy Manager, Danny, who very proudly “tagged on” to Maria’s celebration for his own birthday moment, and brought plenty of laughter with him! 😄

A lovely month of smiles, cake, and togetherness.

💚 Hi Everyone! I’m Danny Saiyed, your friendly Deputy Manager and Nurse here at Harley House, with 15 years’ experience as a Dementia Nurse in elderly care.

I joined the Harley House team in November 2019, following some of the residents I had cared for previously when their former nursing service sadly closed. Before that, I spent 10 years as a Dementia Lead Nurse, supporting residents with complex needs and guiding families through challenging situations. Supporting not just the resident, but the whole family, has always been something I’m passionate about, empathy and compassion are at the heart of what I do.

At home, I’m a proud husband to my beautiful beautician wife (I might get the odd facial… but honestly, I can’t handle the pain! 😅). We also have two grown-up lads who mostly live in their rooms thanks to their busy football lives.

I’m blessed with many friends across the world, and social media keeps us all connected.

In my free time, I enjoy catching up on world politics through podcasts, listening to music, playing indoor sports like badminton, and swimming. I try to stay active and aim for the gym twice a week.

A fun fact about me, I’m multilingual and can speak almost six languages from the Indian subcontinent: Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu, Kutchi, and some Punjabi. I’m also currently working on my Turkish!

I’m very approachable, and some even call me the “gentle giant.”
