A small, homely Nursing and Residential Home. Situated in the heart of the multicultural city, Leicester. We are accredited in end of life care.

Harley House offers elderly residents the next best thing to home with the highest level of quality care. We offer respite, day care, or long term care. We have a dedicated staff team who pride themselves in putting residents’ personal preferences, wellbeing, independence and safety at the heart of everything that they do. Our Chefs can cater for all types of cuisine. The property has three levels, all offering comfortable, homely rooms. All rooms are tastefully decorated to enhance the cosy atmosphere of the home. We have a lovely patio and landscaped garden area where residents can sit in the garden.

A single red rose symbolises love and honour. A simple but powerful reminder that each of our residents is deeply valued and cared for.

Who needs fairways and fancy flags when you can make your own indoor putting green?

With a bit of creativity, we set up our very own golf challenge, and David was straight into the swing of things, with staff joining in too.

These are the spontaneous moments that make each day different and meaningful for our residents.

🌟 Employee of the Year 2025 – Anisha 🌟

We’re incredibly lucky to have a team who go above and beyond every day, but last year, one person truly stood out. Anisha, who became Employee of the Year 2025.

Anisha has been part of Harley House Care Home for 15 years, and her dedication has never changed. While her role is Kitchen Assistant, she supports wherever she’s needed, helping prepare meals, cleaning, stepping in with laundry at weekends, and supporting the wider team.

Always flexible. Always willing. And always with an infectious smile. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

Our residents absolutely adore her. She has a particularly special connection with our Asian residents, where her ability to communicate brings comfort, familiarity, and reassurance. Those small moments make a huge difference.

What truly sets Anisha apart is that she never sees these things as “extra”. She simply gets on with what needs doing, with positivity that lifts everyone around her.

To the team, she’s supportive, bubbly, and kind, and her presence brings a genuinely positive atmosphere to the home every day.

We’ve been busy celebrating some very special birthdays at Harley House, and one of them was extra special indeed… 🎉

Our lovely resident, David, recently turned 90, surrounded by the people who mean the most to him. David lives here with his wife, Joan, and they share a room together. We love that they can be together through both day and night and that Joan was the very first face David saw when he woke up on his birthday 💚

The celebrations continued with a visit from their daughter, plenty of smiles, and of course… cake. (It would have been rude not to! 🎂)

Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about birthdays, it’s about togetherness, love, and making every milestone feel truly special.
