According to previous statistics, one in six people were expected to have a stroke during their lifetime. Fifteen million people around the world have strokes each year. It's also the leading cause of disability. A stroke may cause paralysis, sensory disturbances, aphasia, and emotional disturbances.

At Fosse Healthcare Leicester we believe it is important to be aware of the signs of a stroke - we hope that this post can help just 1 person to recognise the signs of a stroke and how to act.

🎊CARER OF THE MONTH - SEPTEMBER🎊

A HUGE well done to our amazing carer, Nabila, on recieving carer of the month for September!!

'Nabila built a very special relationship with one of our new service users. Despite being difficult to care for, Nabila managed to build a rapport with this service user and showed her incredible support where she needed it. Nabila took her shopping and bought her new clothes so she was dressed appropriately for the weather and even helped with cleaning and organizing her room due to self-neglect and mental health issues. The branch and service user was incredibly grateful for this and your efforts do not go unnoticed.'

Deputy Manager for the Leicester Homecare branch 🥰🤍

I started my whole care journey with Fosse Healthcare over 4 years ago and little did i know what the future would hold for me back then!

Fosse is a great company to work for and offers so much career progression.

Care is a sector that is close to my heart after all these years. I have learnt so much with Fosse Healthcare. It is such a rewarding job caring for vulnerable people and ensuring the care they receive is of a high standard!

I would not be here without the support of the amazing senior management team!

Mental health is a hot topic. This is good news. It means the stigma for mental health issues is slowly going away. Mental health issues are finally getting the attention they deserve. Healthcare workers and individuals feel they can discuss mental health more openly.

To celebrate - our Leicester team have put together a small gift to all our carers to show them how grateful we are of them. Despite any mental health issues, all our carers go out and provide high quality care to our service users - for this we thank you!!
