There is nothing as complicated as our own web of thoughts. We must always remember that someone who outwardly appears strong and together might be fighting a whirlwind of mental difficulties. For mental health day and everyday being aware that some are fighting battles we can’t see. Out of a mountain of disappear, there is the opportunity to find a stone of hope.

I’m thinking of starting a chair yoga class at Houghton village hall on Mondays from 12:30pm until 1:15pm with tea or coffee afterwards and just wanted to gauge if this would be something that some of you might like to attend. Please comment below if you are interested or contact me on 07790 360671 if you would like more information. The class would involve chair yoga postures, breathing exercises, some balance (option to do standing with the chair or sitting on the chair) and relaxation. Cost would be £8 per class or £7.50 per class for a block booking of four in a row. If you know anyone that’s not on Facebook that might like to come please do pass on the info and let me know!

Happy summer solstice everyone! Summer might be our best season: it is sleeping in the garden, it is everything good to eat, it is a thousand vibrant colours in the meadows, and great bursts of leaves growing on the trees. Summer is our annual permission to do nothing and have it count for something. To lie in the grass and gaze up at the vast blue sky above.

Thanks to you all that joined me last night for our summer solstice sound bath. We celebrated the sun and welcomed the summer ahead with beautiful sound vibrations, warmth and light. Giving ourselves permission to be still, relax and rejuvenate.

Our next sound bath will be on Thursday 22nd September 7:30pm - 8:15pm
