Celebrating Loi Krathong ✨️Festival of Lights ✨
This week, we came together to honor one of Thailand’s most beautiful traditions — Loi Krathong, a festival that celebrates gratitude, renewal, and letting go of negativity. 🌸
Hallmark Admiral Court Luxury Care Home super talented care team member, Pam, shared the meaning behind this special day and led a hands-on workshop where we created our own water lilies (krathongs) 🌸symbols of respect to the water goddess and hopes for the year ahead.
It was a wonderful moment of learning, creativity, and cultural appreciation. 🌼🇹🇭

Reflective & Respectful
Today Hallmark Luxury Care Homes residents travelled by train, along the world's longest pleasure pier in Southend-on-Sea, to visit "Poppies on the Pier" — a moving display honouring those who served.
A peaceful morning by the sea, followed by a thoughtful stop at the War Memorial, that filled us with reflection, remembrance, and gratitude. ❤️

🥧✨ Homemade goodness from garden to tea time! These pumpkin pies were made by residents, with love (and a sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin spice) — all from our head chef's homegrown pumpkins. Nothing says "home" quite like the smell of pie baking in the kitchen. 🍂💛

🌟 Meet Tracey – Housekeeping Team 🌟

Hi, I’m Tracey, and I work in the Housekeeping Department here at Admiral Court. I’ve been part of the team for three years, and you’ll usually find me cleaning or busy in the laundry.

I work with a wonderful, hardworking team, and I’m really proud of what I do. Admiral Court is such a lovely place to work — and no two days are ever the same! 💙

When I’m not at work, I love pottering around in the garden, going on long walks, and spending time with my family. 🌿🚶‍♀️❤️

Recently, I took part in Walk for Wards, raising money for Southend University Hospital — it was such a great experience! 👏

🎃🕷️ Creepy Crawlies & Cuddly Cuties! 🐍🦎🐌
Our residents got into the Halloween spirit with
some unusual (and adorable!) guests — from a Giant African snail, Bruno the python, Simon the blue-tongued skink, Incy the Tarantula, a baby Millipede with 200 legs and a stick insect 🕸️ to some much cuddlier friends — the meerkats, 'bunny' and our superstar guinea pig, 'Cheese'! 🐹💛

“Hi, I’m Keith and I am the Head Chef at Admiral Court Care Home.
I have worked here since June 2016, 4 years as 2nd Chef and then in approximately early 2019 I took on the role as Head Chef.

I have been in Catering for 34 years and have experience in dietary needs as they change for our residents. My job gives me a great deal of satisfaction in making people happy with the food they eat and i couldn't do it without my team who alongside me give 100% commitment to the service we provide every day.

Out of the kitchen I love to travel, spend time in the garden growing vegetables and flowers and watching my beloved Southend United as I am a season ticket holder there and spending time with the family.
