I am a qualified qigong instructor/teacher giving people more energy and less stress. Whether you are 6 or 106, male or female, qigong can have a part to play to make you feel more rejuvenated, fitter, calmer and more content. When we slow the body down it slows the mind. Through the ancient practice of qigong (pronounced chee gong), we can unlock trapped energy in the body and put it to better use – we do this through breathing, stretching, warming up, activating key parts of the body and then moving the body in flowing movements that brings your whole body out of fight and flight into a deep and lasting relaxation. If you want a practice that makes you breath deep, move with ease and feel better in your mind and body then you need to try qigong. Get in touch and we can arrange either a one to one appointment, a class session or a you can join one of my 6 week qi challenges covering an array of different themes such as; qigong for better joints, heart, blood pressure and so on.

We will be practicing the ‘Five Elements’ in class this coming Sunday – no class on Tuesday I’m afraid.

What do the five elements mean in Qigong?

Qigong is one of the 5 Chinese medicines, a powerful and gentle body movement which is often called moving meditation. The other Chinese medicines are ‘Acupuncture’, ‘Massage’, ‘Herbs’ and ‘Nutrition’.

The Five Elements are a natural balance for the body, mind and emotions. Each element relates to different organs in the body – Metal is associated with the lungs and large intestines, Water with the kidneys and bladder, Wood with the liver and gallbladder, Fire with the heart and small intestines and Earth with the spleen, stomach and pancreas.

Qi Gong practice balances these elements within the body to promote health and well-being.

Hello my lovely Facebook people!

I thought I would let those of you that didn’t know, I am a qigong teacher/instructor.

What is qigong I hear you ask?

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice going back around 4000 years. It is not a martial art, in fact, the martial art of qigong is Kung Fu. If you practice qigong, you will not be karate chopping anything – a session usually incorporates breathing, stretching, warms up, activation and flows (moving meditation).

It’s both relaxing and invigorating.

My style of qigong is dynamic, easy to do, requires no equipment and is approached in a relaxed and easy going way.

Even better, I am offering some free teaching to introduce you and people that you know to qigong. Please can you share with your friends that live locally in Southend/Leigh area.

There are only 24 places spread out over 3 sessions – take a look at the flyer for more details.

• Sunday, 25th February 2024 - 11:30am - 12:30pm
• Tuesday, 27th February 2024 - 8pm-9pm
• Sunday, 3rd March 2024 - 11:30am - 12:30pm

I then plan to offer paid sessions moving forward – it will be every Tuesday evening and possibly Sunday mornings depending on how much you guys want to get involved.

I will likely start with a 6-week block of teaching, each week covering a different area of the body, i.e. the heart, joints, anxiety, high blood pressure, etc.
