I try to teach this to my daughters when they get upset that they haven’t done something perfectly. I tell them that perfect doesn’t exist, and it’s unrealistic expectations that we place on ourselves that causes us more often than not to be disappointed with the things that we have achieved. I often talk to my clients about being kinder to themselves and get them to focus on the things they have achieved rather than the things they haven’t.
