With 2025 coming to an end within the next few weeks, we often see lots of our patients setting fitness goals for the following year. When done correctly, this is a really positive change to make. However, if you're going from no exercise to starting running for example, it can leave you susceptible to injuries. I've attached an example of a good Couch to 5k plan which you can take and apply to your training. If your goal is to start on January 1st, why not come into clinic for a quick review of your footwear and gait pattern or even a series of massage treatments to help you hit the ground running when you start up! It's a well known fact that exercise has a lot of benefits for the mind and body. However, doing exercise with injuries or pain can sometimes make your symptoms worse.

Acupuncture is a technique that uses small needles to stimulate the nervous system and promote healing. At the clinic, we use this alongside manual therapy and exercise with some of our patients to speed up the healing process and improve pain tolerance.
