🧡 What a week it’s been! 🧡

We’ve had an incredible first week of our Heartburn Health Roadshow across Greater Manchester, meeting so many wonderful people and spreading one vital message: persistent heartburn, acid reflux or indigestion are not normal.

🚐 Today we’re at Tesco in Leigh from 10:30am to 6pm, come and have a chat with the Heartburn Cancer UK team!

We’re here to talk about:

🔥 Persistent heartburn, indigestion and acid reflux and how they can sometimes be early warning signs of Oesophageal cancer (cancer of the foodpipe).
💬 Why getting checked early can make all the difference.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK — but early detection saves lives. 🩷

🩷 Be breast aware: check your breasts regularly for changes.

🩷 Attend your breast screening appointment if you’re invited.

🩷 Don’t delay speaking to a GP if you notice anything unusual.

Remember: it’s not just a lump to look out for. Changes in size, shape, skin, or ni**le can all be important.

This October, let’s raise awareness, support one another, and encourage early action. 🌸

We’re off to a fantastic start this flu season, Our first Saturday flu clinic today our team at Lilford & Pennington Park Surgery delivered 205 flu vaccines 💉

👏 A huge well done to our amazing staff for their hard work and dedication, and thank you to our patients for coming forward to protect themselves and others this winter.

👉 If you haven’t had your flu vaccine yet and you’re eligible, please call the practice to book your appointment. Don't forget our next Saturday flu clinic will be next Saturday 11th October, come along from 9am up to 1pm, Bridgewater Medical Centre, no appointment is necessary 🍂💙💚
