This Sunday, one of our Care Professionals accompanied a client to church, something that remains deeply important to him following the loss of his wife last year.

At the heart of our care is helping people continue living normal lives, maintaining routines, independence, and the activities that give them comfort and purpose. Because care isn’t about changing someone’s life it’s about supporting them to keep living it.

An absolute ray of sunshine, a guaranteed mood-booster, and one of those people who can walk into a room and instantly make it brighter 🌞

She’s super funny, endlessly kind, and always the first to put a smile on someone’s face, whether that’s a client, a colleague, or anyone lucky enough to cross her path. She brings so much warmth, positivity, and energy into everything she does, and she gives 110% every single day.

We are beyond proud and so grateful to have someone this special on our team. The laughs, the care, the good vibes, she brings it all ✨

The world definitely needs more people like her… and we’re very lucky she’s ours 👏💫

💚 6 Years of Caring 💚

Six years ago, we opened our doors in Leigh with one clear belief that ageing should be met with dignity, compassion, and genuine human connection.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of supporting incredible individuals, families, and our wider community across Leigh and the surrounding areas. This collage captures just a few moments from a journey we are incredibly proud of.

As we begin the first day of 2026, we want to take a moment to look back and simply say thank you.

To the older adults and families who placed their trust in Home Instead Leigh throughout 2025, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. Supporting people to remain comfortable, safe, and independent at home is a privilege we never take for granted.

To our incredible Care Professionals, thank you for the kindness, patience, and dedication you show every single day. The relationships you build and the care you provide are at the very heart of everything we do, and they make a genuine difference to the people you support.

To our local community, healthcare partners, and everyone who has recommended us, supported us, or checked in on someone who may need a little extra help, thank you for being part of a community that truly cares.

2025 reminded us that it is often the small, thoughtful moments that matter most. Being present, listening carefully, and treating people with dignity and respect.

As we step into 2026, we do so with gratitude, pride, and a continued commitment to delivering relationship led care that people can rely on.

We also want to take a quiet moment to remember the clients we sadly lost during 2025. Each person we supported was more than a client; they were individuals with stories, memories, families, and lives that mattered deeply. It was an honour to be part of their journeys, to share moments of conversation, laughter, and companionship, and to support them with dignity and kindness. They will always hold a place in our hearts, and our thoughts remain with their families and loved ones as we remember them with respect and gratitude.

This week, our team had the privilege of spending time out in the community, sharing a little extra kindness this Christmas. 🎄

We delivered Christmas hampers and gifts to some truly wonderful places and people, including Belong Atherton, Wigan & Leigh Hospice, and Wigan & Leigh Pensioners Link We also made sure some of our clients who may be alone over the Christmas period received a hamper to remind them they are not forgotten.

Finally, we were delighted to drop off toys to Daffodils Dreams in Wigan, helping to bring smiles to children who need it most this festive season.

At Home Instead Leigh, supporting our community goes beyond care it’s about connection, compassion, and being there when it matters. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible, and to the organisations doing such incredible work all year round.

🎄 The Week Before Christmas, and We’re in Full Swing 🎄

As we head into the final week before Christmas, our team has been busier than ever spreading festive cheer across our community.

✨ We’re hard at work creating our Santa for Seniors baskets, ensuring our clients feel remembered, valued, and celebrated this Christmas, and we can't thank Morrisons Leigh community page enough

🎁 We’ve been proud to donate toys to Daffodils Dreams in Wigan, helping bring joy to children and families this festive season.

🎮 This Christmas, we were also incredibly grateful to be able to gift a full gaming setup to a family in Wigan, including a Nintendo Switch 2 and a TV, bringing entertainment, connection, and a little magic into their home with thanks to Fable Play

📚 Our fantastic staff continue to work through the Care Certificate, reinforcing the high standards of care we’re committed to delivering, well done Jess!!!

❤️ And finally, we’re gifting our clients as a small thank you for trusting us and allowing us to be part of their lives.
