Sunshine, fresh air, and moments that matter ☀️

Today we spent some quality time at the park with JP, one of our younger clients, making the most of the beautiful weather and enjoying the simple things that bring real joy.

While many people associate care services with supporting the elderly, we’re proud to work with adults of all ages, each with their own stories, needs, and goals. Our focus is always the same, helping people live well, stay connected, and enjoy life on their terms.

We’re proud to support Tom as he takes on an incredible challenge—trekking across the Sahara Desert in aid of Wigan & Leigh Hospice.

After spending much of his time in a more office-based environment, this is a big step outside of his comfort zone and into something that will truly test him, both physically and mentally.

Tom is taking on this challenge to support a hospice that provides outstanding care and support to individuals and families during some of the most difficult times.

Today we say a heartfelt goodbye and a huge thank you to Ruth as she begins her well-earned retirement.

Ruth’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable, from starting out in the NAAFI on an army camp, to running her own pub, and then dedicating herself to the care sector. Each chapter of her life reflects her resilience, warmth, and commitment to people.

We’ve been incredibly lucky to have Ruth finish her working career with us here at Home Instead Leigh. As a Head of People, she has been a constant source of support, compassion, and reliability, not just for our clients, but for the whole team. Her experience, sense of humour, and genuine care for others have left a lasting mark on everyone she’s worked with.

Ruth, thank you for everything you’ve given over the years. You will be truly missed, but we’re so excited for you to enjoy this next chapter, one that’s richly deserved.
