✨ Finding Me Again ✨

Recently, someone asked me: “What are you doing for you?”

It really stopped me in my tracks. My days were filled with focusing on others:

🐾 Overtime at the vets
🌀 Not giving my hypnotherapy business the attention it deserves
🏃 Training runs that felt more like marathon prep than joy
🏡 Caring for kittens and my boyfriend

I realised I was getting overwhelmed.

That question nudged me to be honest with myself. I began reframing instead of seeing these things as demands from others, I chose to recognise them as things I want to do and things I can do. (Reframing)

And when I shifted my perspective, I realised:
✨ I love helping clients at the vets
✨ I love caring for my kittens (and my partner!)
✨ I love running

But I also needed more me in my life. So I made space for:

🎨 Painting random art in my free time
💌 Messaging friends who light me up
🌱 Focusing on growing my hypnotherapy practice

Now that I’m back to finding myself again, I can show up as my best self for me, and for you. 💙

Where have I been?

It’s been a little quiet on here lately but I promise I’m still very much around and available for hypnotherapy sessions 💚

A few little updates:
🏃‍♀️ Training for a half marathon raising money for CALM (wish me luck!)
🧠 Had a great supervision session that’s keeping skills fresh and ideas flowing
🌐 My website is having a little downtime, but you can still reach me directly
🍫 Balancing runs with a generous slice (or two) of chocolate cake
🐾 Spending plenty of time with furry friends, of course
🕒 Clocking the odd bit of overtime at the vets too
💍 Went to a beautiful wedding
⛰️ Hiked up Snowdon!

Even your therapist has therapy.

Today I popped in to see the lovely Anne from at Bolton Arena. It was so good to check in, press pause, and refocus.

Anne was such a fantastic therapist and a supportive presence when I first moved back to the North and began my own hypnotherapy training.

Grateful, as always, for the space to reflect and recharge 💛

Sunday evening reflections 🌄

I’ve just had a lovely week off from my veterinary job and spent some time out in the beautiful Welsh countryside. It gave me the chance to properly reconnect, refresh and reflect. One of my favourite moments was hiking in Snowdonia with my sister.

We weren’t sure how we’d get on, not having hiked in a while, but we went for it and absolutely loved it. We chatted about memories with our grandparents, laughed at completely random things, had a coffee at the top, and even treated ourselves to little souvenirs when we got back to the car park.

It reminded me how important it is to take time out, both physically and mentally. That space to reset, clear your mind and feel present again.

This is something I often explore with clients in hypnotherapy. Whether it’s anxiety, stress or low mood, sometimes all we need is that moment to pause and reconnect with ourselves. You don’t have to climb a mountain to feel better, but giving yourself space to breathe can really make a difference.

Stepping (or running!) out of your comfort zone

This weekend’s Parkrun wasn’t just about movement it was about challenging my comfort zone.

🌅 Getting up early, trying something new, showing up when it would’ve been easier not to… it’s all part of personal growth.

🧠 Your brain loves familiarity, but transformation lives just outside that comfort zone.

✨ Hypnotherapy helps you rewire those old patterns and feel more confident stepping into the unknown. Whether it’s a 5K or a new challenge in life.

Hopefully you’re all starting your day off in a lovely, positive way to set the tone for the week ahead. 💫

But… if something inconvenient has already happened, how about trying to find a moment to gently bring the day back to good?

Here are a few simple ways to reset:

🐾 Cuddle your pets
📝 Write down 3 things that have gone well
🌿 Step outside for a breath of fresh air
🎧 Listen to a song that lifts your mood
💛 Remind yourself: this moment will pass

You’re allowed to pause, reset, and start again at any time.
