πŸ’œ The unspoken side of our job πŸ’œ
The background work we do, often unseen by the public, is usually the most crucial. We have very sensitive, complex and emotional conversations surrounding a persons preferred place of death. We want to ensure each patient and their families are heard, cared for in the most dignified manner and most importantly in the way in which they choose.
Both the clinicians and administrative teams work tirelessly to ensure smooth organisation of the transition from life to death.
Recent weeks have seen us say goodbye to many treasured patients and it never gets easier.
We want to extend our own thanks to all their families for the gifts, kind words and allowing us to be part of their lives at such a vulnerable time.
The NHS may seem fractured, but we simply cannot afford to be without it 🀍

Any babies/children born after 2015 will have been offered vaccination for this strain as part of their routine childhood immunisations. At this stage, there is no requirement for general practice to offer the vaccine to any other age groups born prior to this date. There are some pharmacies that may offer the vaccine privately if you do wish to explore this route. We will keep you informed of any updates we receive from the government and NHS England. More information can be found in the link below.
