A little bit about me… (part 1)

I’m just about to launch some new classes 🥳 so it’s high time I did a little reintroduction and said hello.

So - I’m Susannah, but I’ve always been known as Susie. I like both, you can call me either.

I’ve taught yoga for over ten years now and practiced for much longer. I first discovered yoga when I lived in London and tried out a hot Bikram class. Yoga taught me how to connect with my body in a way I’d never done before. It’s taught me how to feel.

Over the past ten years, yoga teaching has moved with the ebb and flow of life - house moves, having babies, turning 40. It’s been an outlet for me to explore my creativity, build my confidence, challenge my mind and grow in every single way.

My teaching style is methodical, explorative and friendly. Some classes we free flow, other weeks I have a tight plan. Most weeks I do a little bit of both - I don’t like my classes to feel too constrained but like to teach with intention.

I love teaching yoga philosophy, and incorporate it in ways that make sense to our lives in 2025. There is so much wisdom in this practice.

I aim to give people autonomy over their bodies, and will actively encourage you to take agency over your practice, making decisions in class to suit your body or energy levels.

I also encourage people out of their comfort zones. Because let’s be honest, that’s where real change happens! Learning how to be in discomfort is a life lesson that serves us all well. I like to think of my classes as encouraging people to get comfortable with discomfort 🫶 (side note, there’s a MASSIVE difference between discomfort and pain).

That being said, my entire aim in teaching is to make my classes accessible and help you discover a practice that works for you. I will make you feel seen, and will support you on your well-being journey, whatever that looks like for you.

Hey friends - I have some exciting news to announce. It's taken me a minute, but...

I am launching TWO brand new YOGA classes in LEIGHTON BUZZARD next month (starting Tues 9th September)!

They'll take place at the beautiful Q Place - a dance studio located right on the High Street - every Tuesday night and Thursday morning.

Tuesday - 7:30pm - Vinyasa Flow - a more dynamic class for those who want a physical challenge. Build strength, promote flexibility, explore what your body can do.

Thursday - 9:30am - Hatha Yoga - a foundational class that promotes mobility, stability and mindfulness in an accessible way. Simpler poses, practiced with intention.

The magic of yoga is that it's so much more than just a physical practice! That's why all classes contain elements of meditation, breathwork and yoga philosophy.

Both classes are welcome to beginners, with modifications and pose options to suit all levels and experiences.

And the best thing...for anyone booking a class with me in SEPTEMBER I am offering an incredible launch discount of 50% off my drop-in rate, and 20% of any class pass purchase! Use the code WELCOME50 for the drop-in discount and HELLO20 for class passes.

Want to find out more about who I am and what I do? Head to my website: www.susannahwhite.com

Help me spread the word, and make these classes a great success.

All that's left to say is, see you in September!

Hey friends - a very belated Merry Christmas to you all 🎄

If you’re anything like me you’re currently in that blurry place between Christmas and New Year where you’re struggling to figure out what day it is and chocolate for breakfast is totally acceptable 🫠

In just a couple of days we’ll be welcoming 2025. Yep, we’re here already.

New Year is a wonderful time to take stock. Instead of moving in to 2025 on autopilot, it’s the perfect opportunity to carve out time to consider your hopes, goals and purpose for the upcoming year.

Forget short term resolutions, this is a time to reflect on your journey so far and think about where you want to go. A time to AWAKEN and RISE in to the new year ahead ♥️

After the success of last year, myself and are bringing back two very special workshops on Sat 4th and Sun 5th Jan (that’s next weekend by the way) to set you up for the year ahead…

✨AWAKEN✨
Saturday 4th Jan
2-4pm
Vinyasa Flow + Yin

Shake of the winter sluggishness with an embodied practice to reawaken, uplift and inspire. We’ll start with vinyasa flow to stimulate the flow of energy through movement and breath, before transitioning to yin to soothe your nervous system and set you on the path of new beginnings. This intentional practice will also include breathwork, meditation, and self inquiry.

✨RISE✨
Sunday 5th Jan
2-4pm
Journaling + Meditation + Yoga Nidra

Before you dive head first in to 2025, take some time to reflect and set intentions for the year ahead. Welcome the magic of journaling, meditation and self inquiry with a special practice to help you take stock of 2024 and move in to 2025 with clarity and purpose. This is a truly transformative workshop, giving you the space and support to discover your true purpose.

So what are you waiting for? Join me next weekend for two transformative workshops to set you on a path of purpose and discovery for the new year ahead!

Book both workshops to receive a 10% discount, otherwise they can be booked separately. DM me with any questions, otherwise bookings as always via

Teaching yoga to women in their motherhood journey, and parents and caregivers more generally, is so important to me.

I provide a nurturing, soothing and fun space for you to rediscover your body and reconnect to your soul after having a child.

When you walk into my Postnatal Yoga and Parent & Toddler classes I will meet you and your child exactly where you are. There is no expectation from my side, no perfect way to practice, no way your child should be, nothing you should or shouldn’t do.

Just your wonderful self, taking some time for yourself, and embracing the practice of yoga with your little one in tow.

Just in case there is any confusion, these classes are tailored entirely towards the parent, with your baby/toddler welcome to join you. Some parents bring their babies, others don’t, it’s entirely up to you. Come and find out what it’s all about with two new courses starting this Friday!

Fridays, 9:30am – Parent & Toddler Yoga
*this is for parents and caregivers of any gender or age. From crawlers up to 3yrs.

Fridays, 10:45am – Postnatal Yoga
*one for the mamas who have recently given birth right up until the baby starts to crawl

If you have any questions let me know, otherwise book via the website xx

✨Join me on retreat!✨

When Whitespace invited me to guide the yoga on their 2024 retreat, I replied with an overly eager and not-at-all-playing-it-cool… YES! This has been on my yoga teacher bucket list since I first began teaching yoga, but, well….babies 👶🏼

Now my babies are a little older, I feel confident that now is the right time to begin expanding what I offer as a teacher. I can truly give my heart and soul to a retreat, creating something that is as fun and playful as it is soothing and transformational. And I can’t wait!

So…..I’d love to invite you to join me in Portugal for the annual retreat. This year the offering will be yoga and pilates, with me guiding the yoga and guiding the Pilates.

The location: Cara Creek Eco Lodge, Portugal
The dates: 3rd – 8th October 2024
Booking: www.whitespaceyoga.co.uk

Three weeks, three events at …

1. Community Book Club - join me for three sessions through Sept and Oct to discuss the book Living Your Yoga by Judith Lasater. No prior knowledge of yoga needed, just a curious mind to explore yoga in more detail 📖

2. Postnatal Yoga + Parent and Toddler Yoga - starting on the 15th September I’ll be guiding two classes every Friday morning. Parent and Toddler for children up to 2yrs and Postnatal Yoga for mums and babies from 6weeks to 6 months. The focus is on the health and well-being of the mother/parent, whilst having your baby alongside you ❤️👶🏼

3. Developing a Home Practice Workshop - on 23rd September I’ll be guiding an interactive workshop to explore how to apply what we learn in class to a home yoga practice. We’ll cover simple anatomy, sequences and how to make it stick…so that you can practice anywhere, any time, at your own pace. And experience just how transformational a home practice can be ✨
