A relaxing pamper session was organised for our female residents this week. It included a soothing hand massage and a nail tidy and paint. These small gestures truly make a difference, don't they? It's wonderful to see everyone feeling better after some well-deserved self-care. 💅💆‍♀️

Dillamore Funeral Service will be joining us for our Later Life Planning Event next week.
Dillamore's believe it is important for families and residents to have access to guidance around planning ahead, and we are pleased to have a representative from Dillamore’s attend the Later Life Planning event to provide advice and support.
At Dillamore’s, we believe strongly in offering wider support within the community, not only at times of loss but also in helping people prepare and feel reassured about the future. We are very happy to extend this support to residents, their families and the wider community as part of the event.

It was wonderful to see the gym full of residents for some seated exercise this week.
Passing the gym balls, stretches with the bands and some gentle weights with music to sing along to, and a smile. We love to see our residents interacting in this way, and really enjoying themselves. A well deserved cuppa was in order after this session 💪🏻

With just over a week to go until our Later Life Planning Event, we are delighted to confirm that we will be joined by Age UK Bedfordshire.

At Age UK Bedfordshire, we're dedicated to helping older people live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes. Our trusted services include Home Help for daily tasks like cleaning, shopping, and companionship, as well as Gardening Services to keep outdoor spaces tidy and enjoyable all year round. We also offer free, confidential Information and Advice on a wide range of issues—from benefits and housing to local services and care options.
We will be in attendance at Leighton Rose Later Life Planning Event on Tuesday 16th September from 6pm.

Did someone say Pub Quiz ❓❓
We hold a quiz every week, at the request of our residents, and it's especially nice to host the quiz in The Narrow Gauge Tavern here at Leighton Rose. It really is a pub quiz, with residents indulging in a little glass of something fizzy, if they can have it, and would like it. 🥂🍻

Feedback Friday! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Here at Leighton Rose, we understand that transitioning to a care home can be a gradual process. It took almost 6 months for one of our residents to truly feel at home, and we've been by their side every step of the journey. We believe in not just assisting the resident but also in supporting their family throughout this transition.

Receiving feedback like this warms our hearts. Your kind words mean the world to us. We are deeply grateful for the time you took to share your experience and for entrusting us with the care of your father-in-law. Thank you for being a part of our extended family at Leighton Rose.

Enjoying the final days of summer at the garden centre was a blast! 🌞 Our local centre is a gem, offering a variety of plants for all to admire while sipping on a cup of tea.
This visit felt like a lads' day out, with more of our male residents joining in on the fun. 🌺

During a recent resident meeting, Brian expressed his enthusiasm for playing football. In response to his passion, we provided him with a football, allowing him to enjoy kicking the ball around once more. It was a joy to see Brian engage in his favorite activity, and we were delighted to support his love for the game.
