Despite reaching 12k people following our last post, we have only received a handful of cards so far. We Need You 🫵🏻
On Friday 8th May, we will be celebrating 100 years of Irene, and we need your help!
To mark the occasion, we would like to organise 100 birthday cards for her. As a former Land Army Girl, Irene has lived an incredible life, and we would like to make her day as special as possible, so, if you can, please send her a card. Last week we welcomed the Melissa & Danielle from Elite Law Solicitors to host an information evening here at Leighton Rose. It was a community event offering advice and guidance on Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney.
Huge thanks to all those who came along, we hope you found the evening useful and informative.

Once a fortnight, we host Debs from The Humpty Dumpty Singalong.
These sessions bring so much joy to our residents. Intergenerational groups, like these are really important but most of all they are great fun! We are so grateful to Debs and all the parents/guardians that bring their little ones to see us.

Taking a moment to look at another review that has been left for us today.
We do pride ourselves in offering the best service and support when people start their care journey, sometimes families choose to plan ahead, but in other instances families have to move and make decisions quickly. We were so happy to be able to support this family in their hour of need!

Let’s get physical 🏋️
Residents enjoyed a session in the gym with our activity coordinator Peggy last week. Starting of gently, using the different machines to work different muscles groups. The residents really enjoyed the session, although they were all gasping for a cuppa at the end of it 💪🏻

We were delighted to welcome Andy & Jane from Earwax Fix last week, who travelled down from the west midlands to give our ears some attention. Residents, Relatives & Staff all benefitted from an ear check, and they will return in a couple of weeks to provide a cleaning service for those who need it. 👂🏻👂🏻
It is really important that we take care of our ears and professional removal of impacted wax can offer huge benefits including restoring hearing, preventing complications, which can be cause by impacted ear wax, enabling examination by healthcare professionals as well as cognitive health.

It's Today‼️
Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney are the 2 pillars of future planning, ensuring your wishes are followed. It is soo important that we plan to ensure control over assets, guardianship for children, naming executors & tax efficiency.
This is not a subject you should leave for later life, you should be considering this as soon as you are over 18, have assets or dependants.
Come along this evening from 5.30-7.30pm this if you would like some free advice & support on Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney, and the importance of them.

We were "eggcited" to welcome some of the children from Kiddi Caru Nursery last week for an Easter Egg Hunt. Working together, the children and residents searched for eggs, discovering chicks, lambs and bunnies. 🐣🐑🐰
It was a wonderful morning of intergenerational fun. We love having the children from the nursery over to spend time with us, and we are so lucky to have them on our doorstep.

Last week, we opened the doors to our cinema, and invited the community in for an exclusive movie experience. 🎥🍿🎬
This family very kindly allowed me to take some pictures to share. They watched a movie of their choice, they enjoyed hot and cold refreshments, popcorn and ice-cream in the comfort of our luxury 8 seater cinema.
The feedback was incredibly positive, and it was wonderful to see 4 generations enjoy this experience together 🥰🥰
