The images here show the team getting for broadcast - loading up songs on the DJ software, setting up the mixing desk and plugging in the studio microphones. All very technical!

Radio ECHO is one of ECHO's 30+ activities for disabled people across the county and provides the opportunity for participants to learn all the skills needed to take them from production meeting ideas through live stream broadcasting.

If you'd like to get technical and join the team, call the ECHO office on 01568 620307

So do try and support this wonderful piece of work!

We hope to catch up and bring you today's show ASAP, a hilarious mix of great (and not so great?) music, dodgy Elvis impersonations and shaggy dog stories. Definitely one to track down - we'll let you know when it's available...

ECHO Needs You: Rep Group elections 2025

ECHO believes that our participants should have a BIG say in how our charity is run. We are looking for 10 participants to join the ECHO Rep Group. We need people who have their own ideas and are not afraid to speak up for themselves and others. You are the experts on how ECHO can best support participants and we want you to help make ECHO an even more amazing place to be.

It doesn’t cost anything to be on the Rep Group, but you do need to like hard work. They meet every Friday morning from 10.30 to 12.30 in Leominster.

If you think you might want to become a Rep but are not quite sure, please ring Claire at ECHO on 01568 620307 and she will help answer any questions you have before you decide to put your name forward for election.

You may remember that ECHO is delighted to have been selected as a charity in the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme!

From now to 30th September, you can support us every time you shop at Tesco Tenbury by dropping a blue token into our voting pot. It’s a simple way to make a big difference!

So if you or anyone you know shops at the Tenbury Tesco, please help spread the word and support our cause.

Meanwhile, here's Jessica Ennis-Hill who is working with Tesco and their AI tool to promote local causes. This video has been created using AI...

Every token counts — thank you for helping us make a stronger start!

ECHO & lockdown

At ECHO we have carried on providing a service to all our members during the lockdown. We might not be able to meet in person but staff and volunteers have worked hard to find alternative ways to keep everyone connected and entertained. There have been hundreds of welfare calls and regular check-ins to make sure no one is left feeling isolated or without support. We have put together lesson packs so people can carry on with adult learning courses and kept the fun going with activity parcels delivered to homes. Other ideas moved online with videos, chats and coffee mornings so we could see each other. It has meant a lot of changes in a short space of time but our message was clear - ECHO is here for you.
