Today at Holmer Manor we enjoyed a beautiful Valentine’s lunch ❤️

There was lots of love in the air, smiles all around, and wonderful moments shared together.

A huge thank you to our wonderful carers for providing an excellent service, and to Chef Eddie for making such a fabulous Valentine’s lunch. You all helped make the day truly special! 💕

Our staff were also treated to a Valentine’s cheesecake — a sweet surprise that was very much enjoyed! 💕

🍕👩‍🍳 Pizza Party at Holmer Manor! 👨‍🍳🍕

Today at Holmer Manor our residents swapped their usual roles and became pizza chefs for the afternoon! Everyone rolled up their sleeves, got creative, and chose their favourite toppings to build their perfect homemade pizzas.

There were plenty of laughs (and nearly a marinara food fight! 🍅😂), but most importantly we had a fabulous time together. The room was filled with delicious smells, big smiles, and lots of cheesy goodness!

🌿🐦 A Wonderful Afternoon at Holmer Manor 🐦🌿

Today, residents at Holmer Manor enjoyed a truly lovely afternoon with Hereford grow points💚

Together we got creative making beautiful bird feeders using oranges, twigs, lard, mealworms, bird seed, foliage and string. Residents loved getting hands-on and exploring the wonderful sensory experience – from the feel of the materials to the fresh citrus smell of the oranges 🍊✨

With music playing and plenty of smiles, we finished by hanging the bird feeders out in the garden, all ready for the Big Bird Watch 🐤🌳

A calm, creative and joyful afternoon enjoyed by all 💛

🎄✨ Merry Christmas from Holmer Manor Care Home ✨🎄

What a truly magical and Christmassy day we’ve shared — full of smiles, love, laughter, and exceptional care. ❤️

A huge thank you and shout-out to our amazing Head Chef, who prepared a wonderful Christmas dinner for over 70 people — absolutely delicious and enjoyed by all! 🍽️👏

We’d also like to recognise our incredible care staff and nurses, who worked tirelessly to get everyone ready, serve lunch, and make sure our residents had a joyful and comfortable Christmas Day during a very busy lunchtime. Your dedication never goes unnoticed. 🌟

A very special thank you to the family members who visited, helped with serving, and showed such kindness and appreciation for our staff. Your support helped us get through a busy lunch service and made the day even more special. 💖

🎄 A Truly Magical Afternoon at Holmer Manor 🎄✨

Today we enjoyed the most magical afternoon at Holmer Manor as we welcomed some very special guests to our Christmas party… the reindeers! 🦌❤️

Our residents were delighted by the festive visit, followed by a lovely afternoon enjoying sweet treats and taking part in a Christmas raffle. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and wonderful festive cheer all around. 🍰🎁

🎶 A Wonderful Start to the Week at Holmer Manor 🎶

Yesterday we started the week in the most magical way with a spectacular Christmas special performance from the Hereford Harps. Their beautiful music filled the manor and truly set the festive mood. 🎄✨

We then spent the afternoon enjoying a Christmas violin special performed by Lyndon, which had our residents fully embracing the Christmas spirit! There was dancing, singing along, and plenty of smiles all around. 💃🎻

It was such a joyful day and a lovely reminder of how music brings everyone together. ❤️

🎄✨ Christmas has officially arrived at Holmer Manor Care Home! ✨🎄

Our lights are twinkling, the trees are up, and every corner of the home is looking wonderfully festive as we get into the Christmas spirit. It’s one of our favourite times of the year, and the joy is truly starting to spread throughout the home! ❤️

Today, we received a beautiful surprise from Nationwide — a Christmas card for each of our residents. 🎁💌
This thoughtful gesture brought big smiles and a lovely sense of warmth to everyone here. A heartfelt thank you to Nationwide for making our residents feel so special this Christmas. 🌟

🎁 Christmas Wish Tree 🎁

We’re also excited to let all families, staff, and friends know that our Christmas Wish Tree is now up in the quiet lounge. Each of our residents has written a special Christmas wish and hung it on the tree.

If you’d like to take part and share the love this festive season, please feel free to pop in, choose a tag, and bring your gift back before the 20th of December 2025. Your kindness will help make this Christmas truly magical for our residents. ❤️🌲
