Today I am grateful for:
⭐️ My ability to walk in nature with my dog 🐕
⭐️ The tomatoes that are growing in my garden 🍅
⭐️ The time and tools to make a "frothy coffee" ☕️

Gratitude isn’t a quick fix, but it’s a powerful tool in the wellbeing toolkit. I use it myself and get to witness how it supports clients through healing and growth.

Why it helps:
✅ Shifts focus from what’s missing to what’s meaningful
✅ Strengthens connections
✅ Brings balance in tough times

The government will be testing its Emergency Alerts system on Sunday 7 September at 3pm.

All compatible 4G and 5G mobile phones and tablets will receive the alert.

You’ll hear a loud, siren-like sound and your device will vibrate, even if it’s on silent.

This is just a test - but it’s important to be aware, especially if you or someone you know is a victim-survivor of domestic abuse and uses a concealed phone.

We are very excited to introduce our new student placement counsellor, Mike Browning.

Mike is a trainee councillor and therapist currently honing his skills at the Metanoia Institute in London, working towards an MSc in Person Centred Psychotherapy. With a genuine passion for human connection and an unwavering belief in the individual's capacity for growth, coupled with his commitment to continuous self-reflection, allows him to embody the values he espouses.

Mike's approach as a person-centred therapist allows him to help clients with a wide range of issues, not by providing solutions, but by creating a supportive environment for self-discovery. He can work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, relationship issues, or addiction, empowering them to explore their feelings and experiences without fear of judgment.

As one of the agencies they refer to, we are here to offer compassionate support to individuals navigating the complex journey of grief.

We are especially proud to support their campaign — raising awareness of how men experience and express grief. We understand that grief doesn’t look the same for everyone. For many men, societal expectations can make it harder to open up or seek help.
