The Sundays scaries! Can you relate?
That feeling of dread that comes in a wave, back to work, school, college or whatever Monday might hold for you. It can feel overwhelming. Like a shadow looming over you, stealing the joy of the moment.
Self care on a Sunday to ease the feeling is so important.
🌿Could you get outdoors, even for just 10 minutes. Nature uplifts.
✨Create a Sunday ritual, a warm bath, a comfort show, your favourite book, whatever feels like a nurturing hug for you.
🌻Can you talk to someone you trust, feeling connected to someone and sharing your experience can feel like a huge relief.
🌸Slow down, move with intention. Don’t rush through the day. Stop to notice your thoughts, how your body feels.
💚If it feels right to do so, journal about it.
I know, I know! I can hear your eyes rolling….but trust me, journaling is such a powerful way of easing the intensity of that dread, it suddenly looses its grip. And while it might not disappear fully, you will feel as though you have more control over it.
By looking after yourself you are doing something radical, you are giving yourself the care, attention and compassion you deserve. Good stuff! 🫶🏻
