NOW OFFERING ONCOLOGY MASSAGE!! I just completed a 4 day intensive oncology massage training and I’m looking forward to being able to provide massage for anyone that has undergone treatment. Are you aware that once you have received cancer treatment, you will always need specific precautions taken during massage? This is true whether you are currently in treatment or if it was long ago. For the month of October, I am offering special pricing for anyone who schedules an Oncology massage - $55 for a 60 minute or $80 for a 90 minute. I have three locations in Sterling at The Nest (Anne’s Hands), 80 Worcester Rd., 285 Central St. Leominster or at Global Fitness on Hamilton St. in Leominster. Both The central St and Global Fitness location are easily accessible. The Nest has just a couple of stairs. Please call or text me to find out if Oncology massage is right for you and to schedule an appointment - (978)270-2054. or visit my website www.bmassagetherapy.com I look forward to hearing from you. For pricing of Therapeutic massage or Relaxation please see the info under Product on this page.
I am super excited to say that I have started a new career in Massage Therapy! It might be a surprise to you but for me it has been a long time coming. The more experience I have had... or you might say the older I got and the more aches and pains I developed… the more I invested my time and learning into how to stay healthy and fit. My first massage for a “fun” related injury was roughly 20 years ago. I had pulled a muscle water skiing and ignored it because “I had too much to do”. By the end of the week I couldn’t walk or drive my car without severe discomfort.
As a result of my neglect, when I work too much now and put too much stress on my body it no-so-gently reminds me by giving me lower back discomfort. This reminds me what could happen if I don’t slow down and take a break. This also helped me to realize that massage therapy is not a luxury but a necessity in order to keep having fun and enjoying all that life has to offer. When I schedule regular massage sessions, my muscles and joints aren’t as stiff therefore I can do more because of it. Even though not taking care of myself doesn’t sound like a good thing, in the end it is what has lead me toward my new life as a massage therapist. For that, I am grateful.
A few benefits of regular massage include increased mobility, decreased muscular stiffness and an improved overall feeling of well-being. For me, that meant less pain from work-related repetitive motion injuries in my shoulders and less restriction from the scar tissue from my water skiing mishap. The realization that I could move more and be in less pain also improved my emotional state. When I understood the amazing relief I found with massage therapy, I felt I truly needed to share that experience. It is my opinion that everyone should live a life with less pain and stress. I am excited to be able to provide that for you now.
