With exams underway, we're reminding young Fifers to SHOUT if they need vital mental health support.

SHOUT is a free, confidential, text support service and is available 24 hours a day.

Any young person who needs it should text FIFE to 85258 for free to connect with a trained volunteer.

Accessing the service doesn’t show up on mobile bills.

Trained volunteers are available day or night to help children or young people with a range of concerns from stress to anxiety, loneliness or depression.

Did you know May is Stroke Awareness Month?

Learn the FAST Test (Signs of a Stroke):

Face: Can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped?

Arms: Can the person raise both arms?

Speech: Can the person speak clearly and understand?

Time: Time to call 999 if you see any of these signs.

We’re improving how we keep patients informed about their appointments by using Patient Hub.

Patients attending ophthalmology, haematology, orthoptics and children’s services (Vision Clinic) can now receive appointment information in a new, simpler way.

Patients will receive a text message or email from NHS Scotland, allowing them to:

✅ View appointment letters online
✅ Cancel and reschedule appointments easily
