FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT

FUNERAL OF ROBERT “RAB” CORCORAN

Robert’s final journey will take place on Monday 2nd March. He will leave his home at 6 Wryneck at 10:40am, heading to the Fountain Hall, 11 Abbeygreen, Lesmahagow, ML11 0HD, for his service at 11:00am.

Following the service, we will travel to Lesmahagow Cemetery, Strathaven Road, Lesmahagow, ML11 0DN, for 12:00pm for his burial. Afterwards, everyone is warmly invited to the Masonic Hall, Lesmahagow, ML11 0EF, at 12:30pm for tea, coffee, food, and to celebrate Robert’s life and just how amazing a person he was.

Robert was a credit to each and every one of us. He was a man of many talents who would have done anything for anyone. He never passed anyone without saying hello, always with a smile. Everyone loved him.

Dress code is regular funeral attire, but please feel free to wear something red, white, and/or blue.

On behalf of Robert, I would like to thank everyone in advance for being there not only throughout his life, but also for being there to say a final goodbye. My family and I would also like to thank everyone — we truly appreciate your presence and everyone who has taken part in making his final day so special.

Robert, I miss and love you more than anyone could ever understand. You were truly the other half of me. I don’t want to say goodbye, but we will give you the send-off you deserve and more, my guy — I promise. I love you so, so much.

Funeral Announcement

The Late Jeff Frew

Peacefully passed away on Friday 13th February 2026 surrounded with his family.

The family of Jeff would like to invite people to come and celebrate his life, share stories, and say farewell amongst friends.

An intimate burial will take place at Lesmahagow cemetery. On Thursday 26th February at 10.00am. The family does not expect people to attend this, but anyone who wants to be present is welcome.

A thanksgiving service of Jeff’s life will then be held at St Nicholas's Parish church in Lanark at 11.00am on Thursday 26th February, to which all friends are respectfully invited. followed by a celebration at New Lanark mill.

Come as yourselves, if you have a kilt, throw it on.

We're thrilled to launch our 2026 Easter Egg Appeal!

All donated eggs will be delivered to Healthy Valleys - a community-led initiative supporting rural South Lanarkshire. Every single egg will be distributed locally to ensure more people can enjoy a little Easter cheer this year.

Last date to donate Easter Eggs: Tuesday 31 March by 4.00pm.

All Donations will be handed over to Healthy Valleys on: Wednesday 1 April

We'd be so grateful for any donations you can make - every egg counts!

Thank You for Your Incredible Generosity

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated toys to our Christmas 2025 Toy Appeal. The response has been truly overwhelming, with a fantastic number of toys donated.

Today, all of the toys were collected by Healthy Valleys, who will ensure they are distributed to those most in need, helping to bring joy to many children this Christmas.

Our Christmas Memorial Service will be held this Friday, 5th December, beginning at 6:30 PM in Lesmahagow Fountain Hall.

This service offers a gentle and meaningful opportunity for us to come together as a community as we remember loved ones during the Christmas season. Whether you are attending in memory of someone special or simply wish to offer your support to others, you are warmly invited to join us. The evening will include reflective readings, music, and time for quiet remembrance.

If you require transportation—either a pick-up before the service or a drop-off afterwards—please let us know. We are more than happy to arrange transport to ensure that everyone who wishes to attend is able to do so comfortably and safely.

We look forward to welcoming all who can join us for this meaningful time of reflection and togetherness.
