This week is Remember A Charity Week – a time to reflect on the lasting difference we can make by leaving a gift in your will.

Sandra kindly shared her story with us about how much HILS meant to her and her late husband, Rod. When Rod sadly passed away, Sandra asked for donations to HILS instead of flowers – a truly touching way to honour his memory and help others at the same time.

By leaving a gift in your will, you too can ensure that we’ll be there for more people like Sandra and Rod in the years to come – providing meals, companionship, and support when it matters most.

🍂 Oh look… September snuck in! 🍂
Yes, we know, we’re fashionably late with this one. September started without us, but we like to think we’re just keeping things dramatic.

This month’s calendar star is the gorgeous Chenies Manor House in Rickmansworth – a proper showstopper that’s been turning heads for centuries.

September brings crisp mornings, endless crumbles using up all the apples and blackberries, and that age old British dilemma: do I put the heating on, or just layer every jumper I own? (very much a topic for debate!!)

As always, check in on neighbours, embrace the autumn glow, and treat yourself to something warm (bonus points if it comes with whipped cream and marshmallows).

Here’s to golden leaves, cosy nights, and showing up late… but still looking fabulous.
