Did you know we provide a range of Textured Modified meals?

Texture-modified meals are diets designed to help individuals who experience dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). These meals are altered to specific consistencies to reduce the risk of choking and aspiration, allowing individuals to maintain safe, independent eating for as long as possible
- Level 4 (Pureed): Smooth, thick, and moist with no lumps. It requires no chewing and can be eaten with a spoon.
- Level 5 (Minced & Moist): Soft, small, and easily mashed with a fork (e.g., finely minced meats in a thick sauce).
- Level 6 (Soft & Bite-sized): Soft and tender foods that require minimal chewing.

Staying active is just as important as medication when it comes to our health as we get older.

A new national report published in The Independent is shining a light on the power of physical activity in later life, and we’re so proud to see HILS included in the supporting evidence.
It’s exactly why our services like Active Ageing and Move More, Eat Well exist - to help people stay strong, confident and independent at home.
Whether it’s building strength, improving balance, or simply finding the confidence to move more day-to-day, small changes can make a big difference.

At HILS, we support many clients living with dementia to remain happy, safe, and independent in their own homes for as long as possible. A hot, nutritious meal delivered at lunchtime not only provides essential nourishment, but also offers reassurance, routine, and daily social interaction.
- Reduces feelings of being overwhelmed
People living with dementia may find planning, preparing, or cooking meals difficult and stressful. A Meals on Wheels service removes these challenges by providing a hot, ready-to-eat meal
- Wellbeing checks
Every delivery includes a friendly wellbeing check, offering reassurance that the client is safe and well. as well as offering plating up and encouragement. If concerns arise, the team can quickly alert family members or healthcare professionals.
