Health & Independent Living Support (HILS) is a not-for-profit, charitable, Social Enterprise that was established in 2007 to provide meals on wheels and caring services for people in Hertfordshire, to support their independence. We deliver meals every day, offering a 365 day service across Hertfordshire, West Sussex, Bedfordshire and Hampshire. Clients in Hertfordshire can receive County Council-subsidised meals if they meet certain criteria but we also accept other clients. Our customer service teams will be happy to advise you about the service in your area. You can contact them via the telephone numbers below:

🌟Our Team in West Sussex Hits 500,000 Hot Meal Deliveries since their launch in the county🌟

Our teams in West Sussex have been celebrating reaching their milestone 500,000th hot meal delivery, that’s enough meals to serve every older resident in West Sussex several times over.

Since launching in October 2022, HILS meals on wheels service have supported over 3,000 residents living in West Sussex with a daily two‑course hot meal and a caring wellbeing check.

It was Hertfordshire County Council and Carers in Hertfordshire Celebration Event this week in Hemel Hempstead and HILS were delighted to be part of this special event that celebrates the incredible role of unpaid carers, honouring and appreciating the vital contribution that carers make.

We deliver meals to approximately 2,000 clients every day, offering a 365 day service across Hertfordshire. HCM has been awarded Social Enterprise of the Year at both the 2014 Hertfordshire and 2014 National Business Awards. We are delighted that social business is being recognised.
