Hi everyone 🌱🌷

Lizzie here from your local over 60’s friendship group which I always try to keep as affordable and accessible as possible, so funds are quite limited.

I’m currently creating a garden area in Letchworth for members, which will benefit those who don’t have their own gardens or those who would simply enjoy some time outdoors, having a potter and a chat with others with a mug of tea and a custard cream.

If anyone please has any of the following in good condition, it would be really appreciated:

- We really need a few scaffold boards (for raised beds) the more, the better so we can build higher beds🙏
- Patio Slabs
- Kneeling pads and small plastic plant pots
- A walk-in PLASTIC greenhouse in good condition
- Parasol & base in good working order
- propagation seed trays

Even just sharing this would really help.

The group has already made a difference to people who are retired, have lost a loved one, or are just looking for friendship locally and it also gives families peace of mind knowing their loved ones are happy and getting out and about.

Hi, I’m Lizzie 😊

I run Friendship Over 60s across Letchworth, Hitchin, Baldock & Stevenage, and I know it can feel like a big step coming along to something new, especially if you don’t know anyone.

I just wanted to reassure you… most people who join us felt exactly the same at first.

Many come along on their own, and very quickly find it’s a friendly, relaxed group with no pressure at all, just people looking for a bit of company, a chat, and something to look forward to.

You don’t always notice it at first.

There’s no big moment.
No clear reason.

feeling less.

Less connected.
