After a long winter, we all feel a little worn down, a little dull, a little frazzled.

I love not drinking too.
I used to be someone who never had an off button β€” I’d drink and party all night. But it started to affect my health. I had sore joints, kidney pain, and felt awful most of the time.
Choosing to stop was one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I honestly don’t miss it. My nervous system doesn’t cope well around drunk people, so when I start to feel unsafe or uncomfortable, I simply leave. And that’s a great thing. I still enjoy the day or night, weddings, and parties β€” and when I’m ready, I go home.
I still dance. I still have fun. I just know when it’s time to go.
I’m not boring β€” if anything, I’m less boring now. I truly live my life the way I want to.
