I love ceramics and if you’ve visited the Apothecary you’ll have seen we replaced all our plastic bowls with hand thrown pieces by . Handmade skincare made in hand thrown pots makes for a particular energetic alchemy. So en route to Brighton I stopped at and found 7 perfectly beautiful plates that so remind me of the hills and sea in Harris. Now safely in my bag ♥️

This is the time we wait for, the point after a long, hard winter when all the life returns to the greenhouse in sudden, glorious abundance. From now until October, every day we’ll be harvesting, filling the freezer and the dehydrator to see us through the unproductive months. The fresh plants will go into the Stills, be wilted then macerated in oil, vinegar or alcohol. Such exciting times ahead ♥️🌿🙏🏻

The May offer of the month is a full size Summer & Skin Balm for all orders over £65. We’ve been using it in Greece as a salve for sunburn and a nourishing balm for the skin after hot days outside picking. It’s actually brilliant for all sorts of burns not just from the sun. I keep a jar in the kitchen too for scalds and oven burns.

I’ve been writing about why working in Greece feels so familiar on the blog today, it’s so lovely to have adventures…

I lived in Cyprus for about 7 years, it was a real turning point for me. Looking back it was the moment when I allowed plants to become the absolute focus of my work, and learning how to get the very best from them therapeutically became my mission. Mastering distillation was one skill learnt there....
