Most first aid trainers don’t get the chance to sit in a room with other trainers and openly share how they actually deliver training and share their knowledge.

The First Aid Facilitators Forum (FAFF) changed that.

It wasn’t theory. It wasn’t “CPD for the certificate”.
It was trainers showing their methods, swapping ideas, and being honest about what works in real sessions.

The part that stayed with us most was Charlie's Promise. A presentation delivered by Charlie’s Dad Martin on the effects that knife crime have and his campaign to prevent knife crime.
It’s a powerful reminder of why we do this work in the first place: to give people the confidence to act when it matters, and to make sure fewer families end up living with the “what if” that comes when help didn’t come soon enough.

🚑 What a few days for the Pulse South Coast team!

Our crews have been everywhere these past few days, from muddy orienteering trails to the roar of the Emirates FA Cup. We’ve had teams out supporting an 8K seafront run, a StriveAid charity football match, a FA Cup match and even a half marathon.

Across it all, our medics have been on hand with conveying ambulances, rapid response vehicles and cycle responders, keeping participants and spectators safe no matter the setting.

It’s been a busy few days, but exactly what we love doing providing trusted, professional medical cover across the South Coast.

🚑 Community Engagement with 4th Uckfield Scout Group 🌟

Last night, some of our team spent the evening with the amazing 4th Uckfield Scout Group, teaching key first aid skills and giving everyone a closer look at what we do.

We covered how to call 999 and what to do if someone:
• is unconscious
• is unconscious and not breathing
• is bleeding
• has heat exhaustion or hypothermia
• is choking
• has a burn
• is having an asthma attack

The Scouts got stuck in with lots of hands on practicals, including:
💓 CPR
💪 Recovery Position
🚨 Choking drills
🩹 Bandaging
🚑 Exploring inside one of our ambulances

It was a brilliant evening full of questions, energy, and enthusiasm from everyone involved.
