The goats will happily eat your christmas trees and recycle them... they just need to be untreated and naked 😉 (the tree, not the goats)

Well… that’s a wrap! 🦃🥕🍯
The turkeys, veg boxes, eggs and chutney boxes have all been safely delivered.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported my little smallholding this year and chose to buy local. It genuinely means the world. 💛
A year’s worth of graft, planning, sun, mud, weather-watching, and late nights — done and dusted.
Now it’s time to put the kettle on, enjoy Christmas, and start dreaming up 2026… because there’s plenty more of the same to come (and maybe a few new ideas too 😉).

Harvested veg for Christmas dinners 🎄

They might not look as pretty as the plastic-wrapped, supermarket kind, but these beauties have had a good frost and come straight out of the ground this morning — which means sweeter, nuttier, and full of flavour.

Parsnips, carrots, celeriac, Jerusalem artichokes, ready to be washed and peeled of course the obligatory Brussels sprouts 🥕

Proper Christmas veg, just as it should be.

Wow… the Christmas Chutney Trio packages have been flying out the door! Thank you so much to everyone who’s already placed an order — you lovely lot are keeping me on my toes! Lots of jars packaged and ready to be collected and delivered!

I’ve just brought more onions out of winter storage and into the kitchen, ready to begin the slow and laborious process of caramelising them down into another batch of rich, deeply delicious onion chutney.

Now off to dig up more beetroot for tomorrow's kitchen adventures 🤗
