Duck eggs are back on the stand this morning, joining our chicken and quail eggs.
Duck eggs are perfect for baking (they make cakes extra lovely), or for everyday cooking if you fancy something a bit richer.

Another fresh batch of our ever-popular Hot Mustard Piccalilli, this time in mini jars, heading off to Hale Farm Campsite 🌿

These little jars are being tucked into welcome packs – a proper taste of the countryside for guests to enjoy during their stay. They also have our other popular varieties on offer too!

Our Piccalilli is made in small batches here at Hope Springs Smallholding with our veg, using traditional methods, packed full of crunch, warmth, and just the right kick.

If you’re staying at Hale Farm, keep an eye out… you’re in for a treat.

They’re back… and just look at them 😍

Our gorgeous little quail eggs have made their return to the egg stand this morning. Small but mighty, they’re packed with rich flavour and a real nutritional punch — perfect for salads, snacks, or something a bit special in the kitchen.

Another successful 'Introduction to Smallholding' course today with Paul. For those with good eyesight- yes that is - Denise was sitting in as she is holding a course at her smallholding in East Sussex on the 16th May. £25 for members £35 for non-members.

This little munchkin is 4 weeks old today 🐐

Three weeks ago I honestly didn’t think she was going to make it. After a perfectly good first week she suddenly went downhill, and sadly her mum rejected her… so I had to step in.

Three weeks of bottle feeds, sleepless nights, and living indoors with us, look at her now — absolutely thriving.

She’s gone from fragile newborn to tiny mischievous toddler, and now firmly believes I am her mum, following me everywhere I go.

A very special little kid with a big personality already 💛

Smallholding life certainly keeps you on your toes — but moments like this make it all worth it.

🥚🐓 Fresh Pullet Eggs from our Young Hens 🥚🐓

These beautiful little eggs are the very first laid by our young hens as they start their laying journey.

They’re naturally a bit smaller than standard eggs, but packed with flavour and often have wonderfully rich yolks.

Perfect for breakfast, baking, or simply enjoying proper fresh eggs straight from the smallholding.

Each box is a colourful mix from our happy hens — blues, creams, browns and even the occasional olive.
