π Tai Chi & Acupuncture Top Tip #3
Sink the Smile to Centre β Calm the Mind & Stabilise the Body
In both Tai Chi and acupuncture, one of the most powerful practices you can do is the centre smile.
This is much more than a mental exercise - itβs a full-body energetic shift.
β¨ Try this:
Bring a soft, inner smile to the centre of your head.
Let it sink down:
π§ Relaxing the mind and thoughts
β€οΈ Softening the heart and internal organs
𦡠Passing through the centre of your thighs
π£ Down through the soles of your feet
π And deep into the earth
This activates the median nerve, which is linked to the Liver system (Wood element) - the realm of inner vision, direction, and dream-life.
But the movement itself is Earth - gathering rising energy downward, stabilising and centring the body.
π Cue for practice:
"Body, breath, and mind are interacting as one."
Use this when you're feeling scattered, overthinking, or disconnected - it restores calm, focus, and a grounded sense of presence.
π Next weekβs Top Tip shows you how to root your energy twice your height for full-body stability and internal power.
