Hello!
Checking in with everyone as we have some more FREE Warhammer fun this Sunday 12th April at Lewes Railway Land ! This is locally funded by Lewes Council and free for anyone who enjoys playing the game or crafting.

We have recently acquired a Kill Team starter kit, so for any children who want to try this , it's now an option! We also have a professional painter coming in, to support and extend anyone who has a particular interest in the painting sides of Warhammer!

We are delighted to announce that bookings are now **OPEN** for our **FREE Lego and clay animation production and cookery workshops**, as well as our **FREE Warhammer HAF workshops**, this Spring break. Sessions cater for beginners as well as more experienced young people.

At Press Play Films we aim to provide **low-pressure creative spaces** where children can connect and meet like-minded peers. Many young people who take part in our workshops become lifelong fans of animation and/or Warhammer.

**Cooking activity and free lunch provided by the wonderful Feel Good Food.**

**Ages:** 9–16 years
Our staff specialise in, and have **lived experience of working with neurodivergent young people.**

Press PLay Films is hosting a weekend of Warhammer fun this February 20 and 21, in Lewes (ages 10 to 16). This workshop is for newcomers and experienced Warhammer fans alike. Some areas we cover:

+Model preparation: cleaning, assembling, priming and undercoating
+Smooth base coating and colour control
+Advanced shading, highlighting and fine detail work
+Creating realistic textures on armour, weapons, skin and terrain
+How to organise an army for games, including unit roles and table readiness
+Design faction identities, backstories and visual themes
+Set up terrain and learn how battlefield layouts affect play

Paints, spray paints and specialist materials provided by us. If you have any questions or would like to discuss access needs or concession rates, please contact lara@pressplayfilms.co.uk. Press Play Films has much experience working with autistic young people and those with Special Educational Needs, and sessions are calm, structured and supportive.

FREE animation and cookery workshops for eligible children this Winter holidays!

Ever wanted to make your own animation? You have come to the right place! Our workshops teach children how to make short animations, including operating cameras, using animation software/ computers and recording sounds.��In addition to animation. Lucie from Feel Good Food provides 20 mins of fun cookery activities for children. A yummy FREE hot lunch is also provided! We have experienced staff who work with SEND young people at the workshops! Please book a SEND space in this instance.

We are running 2 days of spooky-themed animation workshops this Oct half term in Lewes at the Railway Land; ages 7 upwards.

Dates: 27, 28 Oct 10am till 3.30pm
Day 1: Create a spooky Lego small world and then animate it.
Day 2: Design and make a Halloween inspired character using clay and wire armatures and then bring it to life.
Prices: £45 a day. We also have some concession rates available for families.

Press Play Films (PPF) (www.pressplayfilms.co.uk) is recruiting for a new board of advisors. Could this be you or someone you know?

PPF was established in 2016 and is now at a point of change and growth as it extends and diversifies the young people it reaches and the digital /animation technologies it teaches, across Sussex.

We are seeking four new advisors to join at this exciting moment as we:

Plan and organise growth across Sussex

Extend the digital technologies they teach into new areas including music, coding and AI

Rebrand and relaunch (including developing a new website and new social media channels)

We would love to hear from you if you are someone keen to support the running of a local C.I.C, to learn about youth work and how digital media/animation production can best support vulnerable young people and local communities. We plan to will meet 3 times annually in year one and the role may take 6 to 9 days of your time. For an informal chat or application pack please email lara@pressplayfilms.co.uk .
