Press Play Films and Feel Good Food have some animation production courses running FREE in charge this summer holidays in Peacehaven, Newhaven and Eastbourne. In the afternoon we spend some time outside at the park and making some baked treats! Funded by ESCC.
We have allocated spaces for SEND children with experienced staff.

Press Play Films (PPF) (www.pressplayfilms.co.uk) is recruiting for a new board of advisors. Could this be you or someone you know?

PPF was established in 2016 and is now at a point of change and growth as it extends and diversifies the young people it reaches and the digital /animation technologies it teaches, across Sussex.

We are seeking four new advisors to join at this exciting moment as we:

Plan and organise growth across Sussex

Extend the digital technologies they teach into new areas including music, coding and AI

Rebrand and relaunch (including developing a new website and new social media channels)

We would love to hear from you if you are someone keen to support the running of a local C.I.C, to learn about youth work and how digital media/animation production can best support vulnerable young people and local communities. We plan to will meet 3 times annually in year one and the role may take 6 to 9 days of your time. For an informal chat or application pack please email lara@pressplayfilms.co.uk . **FREE Festive holiday clay animation, cookery and play workshops for children age 7 -14 years old in Brighton and Hove.**
These are also specialist workshops for children with SEND.

Have you ever wanted to make your own Lego or clay animation film? Think Wallace and Gromit!

Hosted by Press Play Films who teach children how to produce clay models, and operate digital cameras and animation software on laptops. At the end of the day we will have a screening premiere with parents and siblings and children are sent their films to keep and share.

Feel Good Food will run a cookery session and will provide a delicious hot, yummy lunch each day. Allergies, intolerances and special diets can be catered for on request (vegetarian/ gluten/dairy-free options provided).
Cooking activity example - making mulled juices and flavoured popcorn cones.
After lunch, we will head outside for some games and a play in the park!

Did you work at Parker Pens in Newhaven before its closure in 2009?

Press Play Films is working with ex employees, the Newhaven Museum and local schools on an oral history and animation project about the old factory. We would like to hear more about what factory life was like! We would really like to speak to ex-factory employees and appreciate you getting in touch.
