Sessions are group or individual and are suitable for adults, including those who have experienced mental health challenges. You will find further information about what we offer on this website and in Frequently Asked Questions section. We are very happy to hear from you with any questions you may have and to book your session please contact us. We had a very enjoyable day recently, with other mindfulness practitioners, being in community while taking part in action.
🍎🍏
We collected windfall apples from an orchard, as part of a Brighton permaculture event. The apples are juiced for the charity and may otherwise go to waste.
🍎🍏
There were lots for the senses to absorb mindfully on the day:
🍎🍏
All the varying colours of the apples, from bright red to warm green, varying in size and quality, intact or having been nibbled by various critters. A delight for the visual colour palette and anyones artistic sensibilities.
🍎🍏
The touch and smell of apples under trees, in the grasses, wedged into cracks in the earth.
🍎🍎
A range of weather conditions passing, sun, showers , and back to sun again.
🍏🍏
Some delicious shared goodies for lunch.
🍎🍏
later, a huge haul of apples to be proud of.

And, one sweet bite of a tasty ripe apple to conclude with.

A lovely ‘wishing tree’ made by local parents and children at our last community morning in Brighton. We had lots of materials to choose from, including ribbons, thread and feathers.

Each morning involves art making, mindful pauses and lots of play. These are low cost and open to all.

Our next one is Saturday 22nd November 2025.

In a time of division , polarisation and a fast changing world, therapy can be a space where we get to thrash around with our responses to what’s happening ‘out there’, that is, in terms of the world events we engage with.

Therapy can be a ‘safe enough’ place to share our ideas, deep feelings and powerful reactions.

In particular, when someone comes for long term therapy (months or years , rather than weeks) the therapeutic relationship has been tended to over a long period of time, therefore trust has hopefully been built, nurtured, and earned.

Trust enables us to be with the ‘messiness’ of any response to an issue. By ‘messiness’ I am referring to an intense feeling, or something that feels chaotic and unclear.

Sharing our responses with a therapist is an opportunity to learn and understand. In particular, in art therapy we can discover more about ourselves through being open to our own art making process. We then describe our process, and what we see in our art , and this brings another layer of understanding.
