Postnatal doula days - they differ from family to family and day to day. Depending on how mum is doing, how dad is doing and how baby is doing. 🌸 Some days as a doula I will hold the baby safe whilst they sleep so mum can sleep in the comfort of knowing, I will take the baby to her as soon as baby needs her. 🌸 some days I go with mum to a local cafe to breastfeed for the first time in public. 🌸 other days I can support mum with breast feeding support, cooking dinner etc. 🌸 or I walk with baby in a pram or sling to get them to sleep. The need for a postnatal doula differs with each family.

This gorgeous class (one missing in this picture) We started at the beginning of the summer, we missed the last class due to me being at a beautiful home birth then I was at another beautiful home birth. Then we finally had our last class at the end of the summer. These guys have built themselves a really gorgeous community/tribe of mums. Mums supporting mums in these early stages of parenting is so vital. It is very lovely to witness the bond building and confidence of the mums during the 5 week class and the support and care for each other . Next class is held by Sami Howard in Lewes.
