Could you have taken a similar picture to this one? It’s four of my yearbooks from four of the schools I went to, in four cities, on three continents. If so, like me you could be one of an estimated 220 million Third Culture Kids (TCKs) in the world. An exciting way of growing up, with countless unforgettable experiences. But studies show TCKs also have double the usual risk of mental health issues. Troubles with maintaining relationships, anxiety, stress, self esteem and substance misuse issues, among others. One of the many things I love about the town I live in, Lewes, is its football club, Lewes FC, and their commitment to social justice and equality. They were the first professional football club to offer the same playing budget to both their men's and women's team.

Now they're relaunching their campaign to , during Sexual Violence Awareness Week, to challenge sexism and misogyny in society. On their website there are links to resources for how to challenge sexist language and behaviours in a safe and productive way.

It isn't easy to challenge entrenched cultural attitudes, but you never know when being the voice that says "that wasn't okay" could make a real, positive, difference to someone's life.

Lewes Football Club is an English football club based in Lewes, East Sussex, who play at The Dripping Pan. Women’s team play in the FA Women’s Championship; Men’s team play in the Isthmian Premier League. Both get EQUAL resources (of course).
