Mental Health Awareness Week 12-18May

Great work 👏

Great work 👏

We all go through difficult times, and it can be easy to feel like we have to keep it to ourselves. But opening up and talking about how we're feeling can help take the weight off.

New research from Three UK revealed that two-thirds (64%) of football fans struggle with their mental health. So, we’ve teamed up once again to encourage football fans to speak about more than the game with TALK:

⚽ Take your time – there's no rush and it can take a few tries before you feel ready to open up.

⚽ Ask for support – tell a mate how you’re feeling.

⚽ Let others help – you're not a burden and there are people who care about you.

⚽ Keep it real – be honest about how you’re feeling, it can help take the weight off.

Next time you’re texting a mate or watching the match together, ask how they’re doing. A simple “How are you?” can make all the difference. And if they ask you - be honest about how you’re feeling. Use those quieter moments on the way to the match or after a get-together to really listen and support each other.

And remember, if you ever need to talk, our volunteers are here 24/7, every single day of the year. Call 116 123 for free from any phone if you need to talk and someone to listen. 💚

EATING DISORDERS AWARENESS WEEK
24th February - 2nd March 2025

Eating disorders can affect anyone at any time of their lives. 4 in 5 thought that greater public awareness would make them feel more comfortable to talk about their eating disorder.

You probably know someone living with an eating disorder – but you may not realise it.

Right now, at least 1.25 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder. That’s more than 1 in 50 people – but the real number could be even higher. Eating disorders like ARFID, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and OSFED are complex mental health conditions which are often misunderstood, mislabelled or undiagnosed.

Eating disorders don’t just affect the person with the condition, friends and family often become carers – feeling helpless and heartbroken, as they watch their loved one struggle. Eating disorders are one of the biggest mental health challenges of our time.

Eating disorders can affect anyone and it’s not always who you expect.
