This weekend, some of the team headed to the British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show in Birmingham for an inspiring few days of learning, innovation, and the future of dentistry.
Dentists George and Rachael, Dental Therapist Toni, and Dental Nurse Penny had the opportunity to hear from world-renowned dental experts, gaining valuable insight into the latest techniques, treatments, and advances in patient care.
The team also explored the newest dental technology and equipment available in the industry — and we’re excited to share that we’ve invested in some of the very latest technology to further improve our patients’ experience.
We can’t wait to bring these exciting developments back to the Dales very soon! 🦷✨

Today, on Dental Receptionist Day 2026, we want to recognise and celebrate Sharon at Leyburn Dental Practice for the incredible work she does every single day.

From the moment patients walk through the door or call the practice, Sharon’s friendly greeting and warm personality help put everyone at ease. She always takes the time to listen carefully and compassionately to patients’ concerns on the phone, making sure they feel heard, supported, and cared for.

Behind the scenes, Sharon is amazing at multitasking and keeping the practice running smoothly. Her organisation skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate every clinician’s diary and daily schedule are invaluable to the whole team.

Qualifying as a Dental Nurse takes real dedication, hard work, and commitment. Balancing studying with working in practice is not easy.

Recently our dentist George and nurse Penny visited Aysgarth School, where they taught the Early Years group how to brush correctly, make healthy choices and care for their teeth, whilst having lots of fun. The children really enjoyed dressing up as dentists and were fascinated with a 3D image of their teeth!
