💔 Looking for a Loving Home – Layla & Max 💔

We are deeply saddened to share that a much-loved husband and wife recently passed away within just a few of weeks of each other. Their family are now facing the heartbreaking task of finding a new forever home for their two beautiful dogs.

🐾 Layla & Max – both 9 years old

• A bonded pair, so they must be rehomed together
• Max is castrated, Layla is not
• Gentle, loving, and looking for stability, comfort, and kindness

Their family want nothing more than to honour their owners’ memory by ensuring these two are welcomed into a safe, caring home.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Funeral Director to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and arranging funeral services, ensuring that families receive the highest level of support and guidance throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:
•Meeting with families to discuss and arrange funeral services in line with their wishes
•Coordinating and directing funeral ceremonies with care and professionalism
•Liaising with clergy, celebrants, cemeteries, crematoria, and other service providers
•Supervising and supporting staff to deliver seamless funeral services
•Managing logistical arrangements, including vehicles, staff schedules, and documentation
•Ensuring compliance with all legal, health & safety, and industry regulations
• Being part of an on call rota (one week in six)

About You:
Previous experience as a Funeral Director is essential.
Compassionate, professional, and approachable manner
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and discretion
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
A full UK driving licence

Direct Cremations

We have noticed a significant increase in marketing from some of the national direct cremation providers.
Many people aren’t aware that their local independent funeral directors offer the same direct cremation services.
By entrusting N & K Harvey Funerals with the direct cremation of your loved one, you can have the assurance that-

• You and your loved ones are cared for by our friendly and compassionate team every step of the way.

• When we bring your loved one into our care. There are no ‘hidden’ extra fees. We do not charge any additional fees for any out-of-hours collections.

• A non-attended direct cremation takes place at one of our local crematoriums – Charnock Richard Crematorium

• You will know the date and time of the direct cremation

• The ashes of your loved one are available to collect within 48/72 hours.

• Your loved one rests at our funeral home until the cremation takes place.

• We can arrange for your loved one to be dressed in their own clothing.

How much does it cost?
A local dignified direct cremation arranged by our team at N & K Harvey Funerals Ltd costs only £1,350.00

If you would like to plan for the future, we can also arrange a direct cremation Golden Charter Funeral Plan which would cost £1,675.00
