The T’ai chi balance introduction course will teach the 24 step style short form.

The 24 step yang style short form is a sequence of movements, along with similar forms it is the part of t’ai chi practice widely recognised by many who have no Knowledge of t’ai chi as the slow, graceful and rhythmic movements that elderly Orientals are often seen practicing in recreation spaces.

It is a sequence of postures and breathing that form an all round physical exercise system that works all body parts and energy systems.

When and techniques are incorporated the form becomes meditative and for this reason it is considered by many to be good exercise for the mind.

The form has elements that will challenge and maintain strength, flexibility and balance.

Consistent and regular practice has been scientifically proven to have many benefits when undertaken as part of a group as well as individually.

Once learned the form can be completed in 4/5 minutes and should then form the first stage of a health and wellbeing maintenance regime.

Why T’ai Chi?

The Saturn Version Part 2

The idea that should not be lost is this, with countless references to “the way”, that part of the phrase becomes a noun in its own right. When the hidden noun is added/revealed in the translation it becomes Supreme ultimte way. Even so, the phrase then remains incomplete since it begs the question; Supreme ultimate way to what?

This humble T’ai chi player has this view: The supreme ultimate reason for mans existence, is; to have meaningful life. My own personal translation of T’ai chi is; Supreme ultimate way of life.

Why T’ai Chi?

The Jupiter version #2

T’ai chi is art. Art is an expression of abstract . Art does not always lend itself to words (Chinese classic the toa de jing states: The way that can be spoken of is not the constant way)

T’ai chi is symbolized as shown opposite. It is symbolic of yin and yang, the primordial energies that are the basis of all things in existence. The curved lines are indicative of the continual motion of the energies, and the active and interactive relationships of their polar opposite and complementary existences.

The two smaller circles represent the tiniest flecks of yin within yang energy and vice versa, and indicate thet no thing in existence is exclusively or exclusively in its make up.

The symbol, at the same time, represents ‘all’ things and ‘no’thing, and therefore, all of existence.
