You've called an ambulance that may take 6 _ 10 minutes to arrive, maybe longer. In those minutes you may need to do CPR, control a bleed or place someone in the recovery position. First aid training turns those minutes from uncertainty to action.

In a cardiac arrest people nearby can make a huge difference untill emergency services arrive. If an emergency happened in your workplace having people trained to respond creates confidence instead of uncertainty
