Your Living Eulogy
Your life in your own words.
What does your next of kin know about your early life and the experiences & stories that have made you the person you are today?
As a funeral celebrant I have taken hundred's of funerals & I meet with families who often know very little of their loved one's early life, wider family, childhood, career, and young adult memories.
I can work with you and help you create "Your Living Eulogy"
documenting your life and achievements from childhood to present day.
Together we can capture your life's experiences, creating a wonderful personal eulogy ready for when the time comes.
'Your Living Eulogy' is NOT a legal document. It is simply your life's story; something to share with your next of kin or to leave in safekeeping with the executor of your will.
It is also a chance for you to record any additional wishes you may have for your funeral such as music choices, hymns, readings & poems or other elements such as personal words for your family.
We know it is difficult to talk to your loved ones about dying. It is quite common for people to have a pre-paid funeral plan, but they don't usually speak to their loved ones about their funeral, and what would make the service personal to them.
Some people may think of this as morbid or sad but It can be liberating, even empowering, to feel so in control of the creative aspects of your own funeral.
Not only can it be fun, "Yes Actually Fun", to make these decisions,
but it can leave you with a great sense of achievement to know that your family won't have to worry about making these decisions on your behalf, or struggling to remember things while they are grieving.
A living eulogy will ensure that they will be left with an appreciation of your life, remember you as you want to be remembered, and share your precious stories and things that were important to you.
I will visit your home or you can come to my office in Lichfield. We will sit together and informally chat about your life, then together create your eulogy. I can also recommend other funeral professionals too.
