Sometimes being a parent is all and 😉 but sometimes it's....well a little bit more difficult isn't it!

Every baby is different and there isn't 'One Box Suits All' in Parenting - if there is one thing I have learnt in nearly 5 years of running these classes, its that every Parent is different and that my way as a Mummy isn't necessarily the best way for another Mummy!

As you settle into your new role as a Mummy, the visitors have slowed down, maybe your Partner has gone back to work, you might start to feel a bit like "Ok what do I actually do all day to entertain them" Its not long before they are awake more in the day, more alert and curious about the world around them.

It can be overwhelming - I understand, I've been there with my 2 babies!

You might be worried about getting out and about - maybe your Baby cries a lot and you are worried that going to a group will be too stressful

Maybe you're worried about making that first step out to a group - will it be clicky? Will anyone chat to me? Its totally normal to feel these things.

We don't promise to have all the answers or claim to know it all (don't tell my partner I said that!) but what we can promise is to provide a super chilled & relaxed environment where everyone is welcome!

We hope that you will find our classes fun, that give you lots of ideas to take home to help fill your day up to give your little one a developmental boost, and that you find yourself leaving with a big smile on your face and 🤞🏼 a very tired Baby who needs a nice long nap!

If you need a spare pair of hands, we’ll give you ours!

If your Baby cries and you look stressed out, we’ll offer to bounce them for you!

If you need a cuddle, we give out loads!

If you get covered in sick, we’ll help you clean up!

And we don’t mind at all if your little one dribbles or is sick on our kit, it's part of our job to keep everything clean!

Autumn Adventures Challenge Week 4: It’s Magical Music Time!

It’s the final week of our Autumn Adventures Challenge, and we’re finishing on a high note, with this week being all about bringing music into your playtime at home.

On this week’s bingo card we’ve inviting you to:
🎵 Feel the Beat – Help your Tot to feel the beat to a song you love. Clap, tap your Tot’s knees, or use sticks or wooden spoons to tap together on the beat.

💃 Have a Dance Party – Put on your favourite tunes for a fun dance party with your Tot!

🪇 Make a Shaker – Make your own shaker by popping some rice or pasta into a small plastic bottle and sealing the top. Use to play along with your favourite song this week.

🛑 Shake and Stop – Use your shaker for a game of shake and stop. Shake when the music plays and stop when it stops.

🕺 Play Musical Statues – Practice listening skills with a game of musical statues. Fun at any age, so get all the family involved.

🎧 Dance for You – Dancing is a great stress reliever, so take a break from toddler tunes, put on some music that’s just for you and have some fun dancing around the house!

👻🎃🕷️ Our Halloween Parties are OPEN for booking! 👻🎃🕷️

I will be doing 2 different parties;
🎃 Social Tots which is suitable for crawling Babies - 3 year olds

🎃 Discovery Tots which is suitable for babies from 8 weeks - crawling.

Yelp with fright during our Yoga session, learn some spooky sign language, take part in some scary sensory play and do a magic massage on your little monster. Our SPOOKTACULAR classes will be Halloween themed, with the Tots Play structure. This will include MESSY PLAY with our pumpkin spaghetti tray. Slightly less messy options; including our dark den for some spooky light up sensory time and pumpkin patch play and some surprises!

Hi I’m Lynn, I live with my husband and two daughters, Evie and Sophie, near Cannock. I run classes in the Lichfield/Cannock area. I am a qualified primary teacher with over 12 years of early years education experience, but after the birth of my first daughter, I realised that I would like a more family friendly career that still allows me to use all my experience and expertise in working with young children. I always enjoyed the challenge of planning different activities for young children as I love seeing their faces as they explore and discover something new, so when I learnt about Tots Play I knew I’d found the answer I was looking for.

As a first time mum, I found attending different classes invaluable, especially in the beginning, with creating a special bond, making new friends and giving me ideas of things to do at home that would stimulate and excite my new baby daughter. As Evie has grown up, I know that the experiences I gave her when she was so young have helped her become a happy, confident and intelligent little girl. She is now always looking for things to include in the different sensory collections we use in our sessions and I get extra mummy points when she can help me make some of the resources. Second time around, I love that I have the opportunity to share the amazing techniques and ideas with my new baby daughter, Sophie. It has definitely given me more confidence and I know that she will really benefit from everything that I do with her. Best of all her big sister and my husband can join in too.

I am so excited to bring Tots Play classes to Lichfield and Cannock as it is the perfect mix of all the things parents, babies and toddlers enjoy and benefit from. The programme offers classes suitable from birth up to 2.5/3 years of age, so there is a lot to choose from. I have been running classes for 5 years now and am passionate about what I do, and strive to make every class special and use all my experiences as a teacher and a mother to help and support the parents, babies and tots to learn, develop and have fun together. I feel so privileged to have been involved with so many families. It’s been wonderful to watch tiny babies grow and develop through our baby development course and Discovery Tots classes, into confident, fun loving toddlers at Social Tots and know that I have played a part in their development.
