For my new followers — Hi, I’m Rebecca! 👋 Let me properly introduce myself.

I’m a holistic counsellor and relationship coach — not a psychotherapist — and that distinction matters. My work is rooted in a whole-person approach: mind, body and soul. I’m registered with the Complementary Medical Association and work under regular clinical supervision, drawing on counselling, somatic therapy, mindfulness, hypnotherapy and coaching.

Because we are complex beings — and one approach rarely fits all.

I came to this work after leaving a career in banking. I wanted purpose. I didn’t want to spend my life helping to make rich people richer — I wanted to help real women rebuild theirs.

I specialise in supporting women in midlife navigating burnout, overwhelm, anxiety and the emotional shifts of this chapter of life.

Every client leaves each session with a written recap and tailored homework — because real change happens between sessions too.

My services:

💚 1:1 holistic counselling — face to face in Lichfield or online

💚 The Renewal Room — a transformative 6-week group journey for women in midlife

💚 The Renewal Room Digital Workbook (link in bio)

💚 Wellbeing at Work — for organisations serious about burnout

I’m also a real person navigating the complexities of life — a mum, a stepmum, a partner, and the slightly outnumbered human of two chaotic golden retrievers. 🐕🐕

I don’t show up as a blank slate. I bring warmth, honesty and a genuinely relational approach to everything I do.

If you’re new here — welcome. I’m really glad you’re here. 💚

Something I’m noticing more and more in my work with midlife women is the role neurodiversity can play in burnout.

Sometimes it’s women discovering their own ADHD later in life — finally understanding why certain things have always felt harder, or why they’ve spent years pushing themselves to keep up.

Midlife can amplify this too. Hormonal changes, work pressures, family responsibilities and the mental load we carry can make coping strategies that once worked suddenly feel unsustainable.

But there’s another side to this that I’m seeing more often as well.

Many women I work with are in relationships where their partner has recently been diagnosed with neurodivergence. When that happens, it can bring clarity to relationship dynamics that may have existed for years — differences in organisation, communication, or how the mental load has been shared.

None of this is about blame or comparison.

Neurodiversity brings huge strengths — creativity, energy, big-picture thinking and innovation.

But what often goes unspoken is how these dynamics, when they’re not fully understood, can contribute to burnout within families and relationships.

Whether a woman is navigating her own neurodiversity, supporting a neurodiverse partner, or both — the common thread I see is how much women are often carrying quietly.

And once those patterns start to make sense, something powerful happens.

Conversations change.
Expectations shift.
Support becomes possible.

Because burnout isn’t always about doing too much.

Sometimes it’s about holding too much for too long without the right understanding around it.

Happy International Women’s Day to every woman in this community 💜

What a day. This morning I had the privilege of joining a panel of incredible women at the Guildhall for our local council’s International Women’s Day event - and I’m still sitting with how much was said in that room.

I’ll be honest - public speaking is something I find really hard. But today felt important, and I’m so glad I said yes.

The conversation kept coming back to authenticity - and how much energy women spend trying to be something they’re not. Showing up in ways that don’t feel true to them. Meeting expectations that were never really theirs to meet. And it’s exhausting. So many of the women I work with are burnt out not just from doing too much, but from doing it as someone they’re not.

We also talked about the difference between equality and equity. Equality means everyone gets the same thing. Equity means everyone gets what they actually need. And I think that’s such an important distinction - because what one woman needs to thrive might look completely different to another. And that’s okay. In fact, that’s the whole point.

Thank you to everyone involved in today’s event.

And if any of this resonates with you, I’d love for you to explore the Renewal Room - my six-week group programme for women in midlife who are feeling overwhelmed and ready to find themselves again.

International Women’s Day Panel – Excited to Join the Conversation

This Sunday, I’ll be joining a panel discussion for International Women’s Day at a special event in Lichfield, exploring the challenges, empowerment, and wellbeing of women in leadership.

Some of the topics we’ll be covering:

- The women who inspired us growing up and how they shaped our paths
- Navigating challenges and learning to advocate for ourselves
- Balancing work, life, and wellbeing in environments that often demand more than we can give
- What empowerment really means
— and the myths about women that still need to be challenged

I’m particularly looking forward to sharing insights from my work with midlife women — the patterns I see, the pressures they face, and the tools that genuinely support them to thrive.

It’s not just about equality on paper. It’s about creating environments and practices where women can be fully seen, heard, and valued — without having to shrink or conform.

If you’re attending, I’d love to connect and hear your perspective.

This week I wrapped up another Renewal Room.

Six weeks.
A room full of very different women.
Very different stories.
All cheering each other on.

And once again, I’m sitting here reflecting on what each of them is walking away with.

One woman said:
“I wasn’t unhappy… I was just overwhelmed.”
Now she feels less overwhelmed — which means she can actually lean into her happiness and feel it.
She’s saying no.
Pausing.
Not filling every space.
Not constantly checking in on everyone else.
And when anxiety shows up around taking space for herself, she gets curious — and regulates it.

Another came in saying she struggled to connect.
Vulnerability felt uncomfortable.
She wanted everyone else to go away.

Six weeks later?
She’s reaching out.
Letting people in.
And said becoming more comfortable with vulnerability has been life-changing.

Another realised:
“I have no boundaries.”

Now she’s choosing who she spends time with.
Letting old friendships run their course.
Setting parental boundaries.
Protecting her energy.

Another found her voice at work.
Spoke up.
Set expectations.
And change is happening because she did.

This is why I do this work.

Not because women are broken.
But because they are capable — and just need space, safety and support to stop overriding themselves.

The next Renewal Room begins 9th March.

And I’m off on a much-needed break tomorrow ☀️
If you’re thinking about joining, I’ll still be checking messages — just replying from a sunbed for a few days.

Well… this wasn’t in the original plan.

My partner has surprised me with a trip to Tenerife next week for our third anniversary and Valentine’s ❤️

And honestly, it’s just what I need. Life hasn’t been the easiest recently, and time away — just the two of us — feels really important 🥰

In true Renewal Room fashion, I’m practising what I teach.

Which means I’m delaying the start of the next group by one week.

Because burnout recovery isn’t just about boundaries in theory — it’s about choosing rest, joy and presence when life offers it.

The Renewal Room will now begin on Monday 9th March at 7pm.

If you’ve been considering joining, this gives you a little more breathing space to decide.

There’s also something important to share.

After this intake, the programme will be evolving and the investment will be increasing. I’ll be adding some beautiful extras, and the new format will offer even more depth and support.

So this upcoming group is the final opportunity to join at £150.

It feels important to say that clearly.

The Renewal Room is a structured, transformative 6-week process — and as it grows, so does its value.

For now though, this is the last chance to experience it at the current rate.

I’ll be returning from Tenerife refreshed, grounded and fully present for the women stepping into the space.

Human first.
Always.

Client feedback from a couple who’ve just completed my 12-week Thrive Together programme:

“Dear Rebecca,

Thank you for this summary and reflection on our journey with you. We are both very grateful to you for creating such a safe and non-judgemental space to explore and grow our relationship. You have really supported and helped us, and it is clear from your time, care and input that you invest deeply with your clients.

Thank you again for your guidance, we are definitely in a better place together.

Many thanks”

This kind of work is never about quick fixes.

The Thrive Together programme is a structured, 12-week process designed to help couples in midlife:

• understand the cycles they get stuck in
• communicate with more clarity and compassion
• feel safer and more connected in their relationship
• make changes that actually last

Midlife can bring pressure, change, and disconnection — but with the right support, it can also be a time of renewed understanding and growth.

Most people think therapy is about talking things through.

Integrative therapy goes further.

It brings together reflection, nervous-system awareness, and practical tools — so insight doesn’t stay in your head, it shows up in how you live.

Clients often tell me:
• they feel calmer in moments that used to overwhelm them
• they understand their patterns without self-blame
• they begin responding differently, not just coping

This is what integrative work can look like in everyday life.

This page isn’t about coping better.

It’s about real, lasting change.

I support women in midlife who are holding everything together — at work, at home, and in their relationships — yet feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves.

Many women arrive saying:

“I don’t feel like me anymore.”
“I’m coping, but I’m so tired.”
“I understand myself, but nothing seems to change.”

My work goes beyond offloading or short-term relief. It’s structured, relational, and focused on helping women understand their patterns, regulate overwhelm, and gradually create change that actually lasts.

I offer:

• One-to-one counselling
• The Renewal Room — a 6-week group counselling journey for women in midlife
• Resources to support this work at home

If you’re here, trust that curiosity.

You don’t need to be falling apart to deserve support.

Most people think change happens through one big insight.

But the nervous system doesn’t work that way.

Real change happens through repetition — small moments of safety, again and again.

This is why understanding yourself doesn’t always change your reactions straight away.

Nothing is wrong.

Your system is still learning.

Capacity is built gradually — not through pressure, but through practice.

Sustainable change doesn’t happen overnight.
It happens one calm moment at a time. 💚

For women in midlife who are holding everything together — and quietly feeling exhausted.

If you’re managing work, family, relationships, and responsibilities, yet feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stretched, or disconnected from yourself, this is for you.

What if change didn’t start with pushing harder —
but with understanding yourself better?

The Renewal Room Workbook is a guided, therapist-created resource designed specifically for women in midlife who know something needs to change, but want a gentler place to begin.

Women who work through this process often describe:

• feeling calmer and more grounded
• noticing overwhelm before it takes over
• setting clearer boundaries
• feeling more like themselves again

This is the same reflective process used in my 6-week group programme — now available as a downloadable workbook you can complete at home, in your own time.

You can work through it independently, or choose to add online one-to-one sessions with me to support you as you go.

If you’re ready to stop surviving and start shifting how life feels, this is a place to begin.

The Renewal Room Digital Workbook is here to support you on a gentle, 6-week journey of self-discovery and renewal — nurturing both your mind and body so you can start feeling more like yourself again.

29/01/2026

We’ve finally made it through January — often the longest, heaviest month of the year.

For many women I speak to, the end of January is the moment when the determination they started the year with begins to wear thin.

The lists were written.
The promises were made.
The “this year I’ll do things differently” mindset was strong.

And yet — life still feels the same.

The overwhelm hasn’t lifted.
The exhaustion is still there.
And that realisation can feel quietly defeating.

If that resonates, it doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
It usually means motivation and willpower weren’t what you were missing.

I’m a counsellor supporting women in midlife who are feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or disconnected from themselves.

Alongside one-to-one counselling, I run The Renewal Room — a 6-week transformational process, not a drop-in support group.

Each week we work through a specific theme, giving women:

• space to share their experiences
• insight into the patterns that keep them stuck
• practical tools they can actually use in everyday life
• time for change to be integrated, not rushed

The programme is intentionally designed over six weeks because real change doesn’t happen in one conversation — it happens when awareness is revisited, supported, and practised over time.

The next Renewal Room group begins in March.

And if group work doesn’t feel right for you, I also offer one-to-one counselling for women who want the same depth of support in a more individual setting.

If the end of January has you thinking something needs to change, you don’t have to figure that out alone.
