Lunges are my love language💖
I love to teach lunges, they're multi-tasking exercises, their benefits translate into how our bodies move in our every day lives, what's not to love?!
Lunges build single leg strength, pelvic stability and open your hip flexors, building power, flexibility and balance, these all translate into better movement in the way we stand, walk and run in our daily lives😊

Explore both sides of Aerial yoga starting with an energetic yang flow, followed by a super relaxing yin practice and dreamy floating savasana.
🤩Aerial Yoga Flow- Sunday 17th May
Experience the joy of moving in the hammock in this playful aerial flow workshop.
The workshops are suitable for everyone, from beginners to experienced aerial yogis.
Both workshops are held at in Cannock and are from 1-3pm.

Lighter springs are just as much, if not more of a challenge than heavier ones:
💖 Increased instability created by using a light spring challenges your stability and control. Your deep core muscles need to engage to allow you to move the carriage with control and to keep your body stable throughout the moment.
💖 Increased Mobility and Flexibility, using a lighter spring allows you to achieve a greater range of movement than using a heavier spring, improving mobility and your flexibility.
💖 Mental challenge, the instability created by the lighter springs makes our brain question whether we are "safe" in that movement, quietening this question and continuing to move stimulates new neural pathways in our brain 🧠
💖 Light springs are fun, we might feel wobbly, but we can move in a different way to when the springs are heavy.
💖 And if you're here for the shaky legs, light springs will make your legs shake just as much!!

Restorative Aerial yoga is the perfect way to reset and relax. We use the hammock to support us in deep stretches allowing muscles and fascia to release. The hammock holds your body in your own private cocoon, their gentle rocking motion helps us regulate and calm our nervous system. There is something really primal about being held and rocked. After the workshop you'll feel a deep sense of relaxation, like you're floating on air.

Have you ever wondered why your Reformer Pilates class can feel like such a mental challenge?
It's because it challenges our human programming.
We are programmed to stay grounded and stay safe. When we use the Reformer we are taking ourselves away from the ground and therefore going against our natural programming. To do the class we need to quieten the part of our brain that tells us we aren't "safe"
Linked to this is the way in which using the Reformer creates instability, the movement of the carriage doesn't just compromise our balance, it challenges our brain too. Our brain has to compute the demand of the exercise but it also has to process the feeling of the carriage moving, particularly when the carriage moves in the opposite direction to the exercise.
The benefits of the mental challenge of class is that challenging our brain stimulates new neural pathways. It gives us a little boost of adrenaline as well as endorphins, giving you that post class buzz. And because we are challenged mentally as well as physically in class it keeps us present in the moment.
So next time you're in a Reformer class, remember you are working your brain as well as your body!

🥰WINTER FACE YOGA ONLINE COURSE🥰

Join me online for a 4 week Face yoga course. Where we'll boost our complexion & mood. The classes will start on Wednesday 4th February at 8pm (each class lasts approximately 50 minutes)🥰

In winter our skin can feel dryer and more sensitive, Face yoga can help by boosting the blood flow to the face, collagen and elastin production is naturally increased, improving skins overall health and appearance, giving your complexion a natural glow. It can also release tension in the jaw, neck & and head and it's a lovely way to find a little bit of time for yourself. The course is £35 for the 4 weeks & will be delivered via zoom. You'll get a recording of each class afterwards so you can do it again😊

🌟New Year Aerial yoga workshop🌟
Sunday 4th January at in Cannock

Fly into 2026 with this special new year workshop, we'll start with an intention setting ritual, followed by an energetic aerial yoga flow, and finish with a dreamy floating savasana. The workshop is from 1-3.30pm and is £35.

The workshop is mixed level so suitable for everyone, whether you're an experienced aerial yogi, or have never been in the hammock before, and everyone is very welcome 🙃
