It calls upon the principles of Dru Yoga's positive health and well being to unblock energy in the body, ease back pain, and improve balance and posture. Blissful Yoga owner and instructor Suzanna encompasses a therapeutic approach in her teaching that allows you to nourish your body, mind and soul in a safe, fun way. If you are new to yoga, wanting to re-establish your practice, or are looking for a more tailored experience, the Blissful studio (by Lichfield's Beacon Park) is a peaceful, private space where Suzanna provides private / 1-2-1 yoga tuition that can be tailored to meet your needs. Her weekday group classes are small and welcoming and are held at various venues in Lichfield, including Martin Heath Hall (by Christ Church) and Cruck House (by Stowe Pool). Blissful Yoga sessions are also available online. Each class is non-competitive and designed to be accessible to all ages and abilities, with postures and sequences that can be easily adapted to ensure that each student feels included, empowered and accepted. I'm here to offer you some welcome and nourishing Blissful Yoga to bring back calm, clarity and presence in your life, with a weekly practice that is designed to help you prepare and make the most out of the seasonal refresh and transition ahead of us all.

February through to April, join me on a Blissful 8-week course to help you re-boot for the new season, recover low energy and immunity, and totally relax and unwind body and mind. It's a friendly, welcoming group, and we return to our mats at the cosy Martin Heath Hall in Lichfield at 1030 every week from Monday 24th February 2025 up to Easter. Beginners and returners welcome!

To stay healthy and well during the changing seasons and, in particular during Autumn, as the weather cools and the days become shorter, we can introduce things that are warming, grounding and soothing. Self-care and movement is a big part of this and with a shared Blissful Yoga practice in the final weeks of the year we can take time to listen to our body and move accordingly.

The Sun Salutation was originally practised in the early morning while facing the rising sun in order to celebrate and appreciate its power, warmth and light, which make all life on earth possible. Over two Blissful Yoga sessions in August Suzanna warmly invites you to join her in a special practice of Surya Namaskar which harnesses the power of breath (pranayama) and sound (mantra) to help warm up the body and uplift the senses. Take some time out for yourself and prepare to get your circulation going... your whole system will be ready to receive this unrivalled energy boost for the hazy days of summer still to come!

Blissful Flow is based on Dru Yoga’s positive health and well being – a wonderful and therapeutic approach that allows you to nourish your body, mind and soul in a safe, fun way. Each class is non-competitive and designed to be accessible to all ages and abilities, with postures and sequences that can be easily adapted to ensure that each student feels included, empowered and accepted.
Blissful Yang. Experience the beauty of combining breath and movement. This class is designed to compliment Blissfu Yin and activate your body and balance the energy with a slow Hatha-based Yang flow.
Blissful Yin focuses on gaining a powerful release by working with ligaments, joints and muscles and the body's deep connective tissue in order to help open and unblock energy. Each Yin class begins by centring and relaxing the mind with a short pranayama. The Yin postures, which are longer held floor based poses (usually around 3-5 mins) compliment a more active practice or sports regime. Improving flexibility, reducing stress, improving joint mobility, increasing circulation and the flow of energy through the body are just some of the benefits. Each session completes with a short Yoga Nidra to allow the body to absorb the benefits of this wonderful practice.
Blissful Stretch & Relax is a gentle, chair-based session aimed at those who find floor-based practice a challenge, beginners or those who are returning to yoga in their later years. Get back in the “driving seat” to improve your core strength, balance and flexibility. Enjoy this 60 minute practice to switch-off and unwind in our warm and friendly Lichfield studio!
Blissful Fusion is a breath centred practice to foster the mind-body connection. The class takes the best of both Hatha and Yin styles to create a yoga fusion that balances movement and breath-work with a deep stretch and release. Each session begins with pranayama (breathing exercises) and a slow flow designed to gently activate the physical body. We move on to Sun Salutations and other asana (posture) practice before developing a deeper opening of the body by targeting connective tissue through Yin postures. These are mostly floor-based and are held for a longer duration. Each session winds down through a series of twists and forward folds before settling into our final relaxation or meditation. A perfect way to recharge the body and mind, slow down, breathe deep and relax.
