The ladies did a beautiful job yesterday making a garland together using some lovely colours and autumn picks to decorate the fireplace in the chapel, ready for the autumn months 🍁 and for the harvest church service we had today led by chaplain April which was full of thanks for the harvest festival 🥕 🌽 😊

Thank you to all who have donated towards our harvest foodbank collection so far we are very grateful.

Can you believe it’s been 4 years today that Bev went and collected Kevin to bring him back to be part of the Stones Place family 🥰 He brings so much love and joy to all he meets but especially for the residents, their faces just light up when they see him and he makes everyone feel so much happier and a cuddle with Kevin will always make it better 🐾 It wouldn’t be Stones Place without our four legged boy, Our camera rolls are full of Kevin pictures so we thought it would be great to see some from the beginning.

Wow what a beautiful morning we had at the international bomber command centre today ☀️
Resident’s enjoyed a lovely trip out, we had a walk around the exhibition filled with so much to read, look at and listen to. We had a quick pit stop for some tea and cake then ventured out to see the spire and the peace garden. The ceramic poppy display was amazing to see and so was the view of the cathedral. Overall great feedback from everyone and we even got to see a fly over from the red arrrows we couldn’t of planned it better ✈️

Stones Place received a wonderful delivery yesterday 😃

We have purchased a not so tiny tablet for the home from the residents amenity funds, using funds we have been donated and fundraised for this amazing piece of technology. Residents received a demonstration from Stacey this morning showing all the great things you can do from the thousands of apps available, to play games, sensory apps, Skype so they can FaceTime loved ones and so much more. It is available to be used by all residents, staff, volunteers and relatives.

It has been a great hit today with so many residents and staff wanting to try it out for themselves and feedback has been wonderful also, several have said how it is a great addition to the home and look forward to learning more daily. 🥰

MHA Stones Place

Stones Place care home in Lincoln, originally a country manor house, is situated next to Hartsholme Lake, a beautiful country park which is accessible for wheelchair users. MHA made major additions in 1972 and the home was subsequently refurbished in 1996, with the rooms increased to 42 in 2004.

The Duchess of Kent, the first Royal to open a home, said: "The clear theme running through your plans is that every resident should be recognised as an individual, should feel wanted and receive affection, and be able to maintain his own respect within the security and comfort of a home.”
