I’m building an autopilot system for UK tradesmen.

It answers your phone, takes customer details, figures out what they want, and handles the admin in the background.

You don’t need to be a computer nerd (I handle that bit).
You don’t need to spend thousands a month.

I’m looking to chat with a few lads on the tools who want to add some military precision to their cash flow and customer management.

If that’s you— or you know someone who could do with it— drop me a message.

Are you ignoring these 3 burnout signs?

Physical symptoms: sleep is s**t, constant tiredness, putting on wieght and ignoring your health and not fixing it.

Psychological symptoms: can’t focus, irritable most of the time, you’re distant with your family.

Philosophical symptoms: want to burn it all to the ground and you fantasise about escaping and chinning it all off.

If you fit into this bracket… then NOTICE it. The first part of changing anything is to have an awareness of the problem.

You’re probably not on your own, so speak with someone about it.Good luck.

Do you want a happier 2025?

Ask yourself how close you are living to the present time (now).

The past has happened and you can’t change it, so don’t spend too much time dwelling on it.

The future does not exist. It’s pure fantasy, so learn not to get too carried away in dreams and visions.

Learn to narrow this to the present moment. Enjoy what is happening right now.

Letting go of the past and not fantasising about the future can be done.

You have to learn it and practice the skill (do the reps).

If you want a more beneficial alternative than a short-lived gym membership… let me know.

Good luck in 2025!

New year. Same bullsh*t?

It’s that time of year when people get excited about the fantasy of implementing new habits to alter their behaviours in the new year.

Ask yourself a question…

How many times have you tried this? If you’ve consistently failed… it may not be a habit, motivation or willpower problem!

It’s a beliefs problem. So stop papering over the cracks and get to work on the root cause by asking a couple of pointy (probably uncomfortable) questions.

Grab a pen and write this out:
1 What do I believe about ______?
2 If this is true, what does it really mean?
3 How is this holding me back?
4 How is it not true?
5 How did I get this belief?
6 What would I rather belief instead?
7 If I don’t change, then what?

This is that gap in between Christmas and New Year after you’ve trashed your health, argued with your spouse and really can’t be arsed getting back to business. You probably don’t know why you’re bothering anyway.

Rather than the same old lame old New Year’s resolutions of hitting the gym and trying to think positive, try this instead.

It may be tricky as you probably don’t want to ask the questions you’re asking yourself… as you don’t want the answers (real reasons).

That’s why it’s more beneficial to work with someone else. As I had to.

Good luck in the New Year… New you!

Beliefs can be empowering… but can equally hold you back.

Everything we do or do not do is shaped by beliefs. It is the filter we see the world through.

We all have them. But they are not always correct.

Believing all spiders could kill you may benefit you in avoiding them… but it’s not really true (unless you probably live in Australia).

Beliefs could be the reason that you are failing to progress in an area of your life that perhaps you want to change.

Take a step back and ask yourself…

“what do I believe about ______”?

I’ll be posting what to do with this and how to alter it in a series of questions.

Until then, what belief do you think is holding you back?

How to move from Stress in (+) one…

What is your +1?

Once you’ve completed an audit of your life, it’s time to work out where (and what) you have to work.

The previous exercise is designed to make you aware of where you are (accept this is your fault btw) and where you want to be.

Consider what a 10 score would be in each area. Actually, what is looks and feels like and is not just the standard ‘won the lottery’ bulls**t answer.

Then pick one area. Just one, so you can avoid overwhelm and the ‘can’t be arsed’ attitude. In this area, what would a +1 score look like?

For example, if you’re five stone overweight, scored a 3, and want the body of a superhero (10), then what would a 4 (+1) be? losing 3 lbs, getting to the gym once a week?

This will make the problem easier to tackle.Worried about the ‘can’t be arsed’?

Then tell someone you will do it. Accountability is key, whether you work with someone personally or just tell a mate that will give you s**t when you don’t.

Personally, I‘ve always found writing it down works for me in positive terms. Zoom out.

Find the pain. Pick an area. Small goals. Stay accountable.Good luck.

Stop using “Stressed”… 🤬

It’s fairly meaningless when it comes to solving the problems in your life that make you miserable.

A better alternative is to determine the specifics of individual issues so you can work on something more quantifiable.

This isn’t a technique to prove how s**t your life might be right now; it’s a tool you can use to prevent overwhelm and tackle issues in small incremental steps.

It’s a quick way to zoom out and perhaps see where you need to alter your focus. When I did this years ago, I realised that I scored a 9/10 in work and a 3/10 in relationships and nutrition.

Where do you think I spent most of my time and energy? That’s right; I ended up focusing on the area I enjoyed and avoided the area I hated.

That’s not to say the work is easy. It’s not. However, it’s a place to start.

So, draw a wheel and split your life into different areas (I would have career, finances, health and relationships as a minimum).

Score them from 1 (s**t) to 10 (amazing). Resist the temptation to ask ‘why’ is this (it can be judgemental).

Ask ‘what’ it is that makes it that score.

Do you want to get moving… or are you happy wrapping issues in a word that keeps you stuck?

Make 5 minutes. Take score. Get started.Where do you need to work? 👇🏼

Want better “Mental Health”*… sort your sleep!

Rather than post a random picture and think of a clever metaphor, it maybe just to address the problem head on and give you the advice. So here is a few simple tips to help you.

Sleep is the cornerstone of your mental and physical health. It should be the starting point for many issues (fat loss, relationships, mood and depression… to name a few). Do this:

1. Set a bedtime. Stick to it. Create a routine (habit).
2. Resist pre-sleep doom scrolling by moving your phone away from the bed.
3. Get yourself out of bed first, before picking up your phone.

I could back this up with a rift of facts and information you’ll probably not read. If you want more awareness, read Mathew Walker’s why we sleep book. In the New Year, I’ll be pulling out the best bits for you.

If you didn’t know this. Do the 3 steps. If you did know this, ask what has prevented you doing it (without bulls**t excuses).

*the term mental health can be a scapegoat.

Remove it and replace it with, “what specific problem do I have to solve”?

What's your favourite Lethal Weapon quote?

"Do you really wanna jump?... Well, do you?"

A lot of people love the idea of something… until they face doing it.

There are a multitude of reasons to prevent people from taking action. Even when they know the action to take!

Time, priorities, confidence, fear, self-sabotage, self-belief and perhaps your upbringing.

All are valid. All can be overcome.

But many need someone else to slap the handcuffs on… and jump with them.

Do you want more time, more money, better health, improved relationships, be present at home, handle conflict better and communicate more effectively?

I can help (minus the handcuffs, obviously).

Getting help doesn't have to mean 3 years sitting on a leather sofa in therapy. There are some really easy steps you can take right now to move from misery.

Interested?

I've created a 5-Step Stress Reduction Strategy to help. This is based on the hundreds of people I've helped over the years both professionally and personally.

Are you ready to jump for 2025... or are you waiting for someone to jump for you?

Just write "Jump" in the comments and I'll do the rest.
