Michaela would like to personally thank each and every one of you in advance for your understanding and kindness as she navigates this next chapter.

šŸ“ø We Love Seeing Our Work Out in the Wild! One of the best parts of what we do at Tasker & Co is seeing our creations being put to good use.

Check out this beauty: a fine example of a WW2 Hippo, proudly sporting its brand-new rear tilt. The client sent us this shot and—what a monster bit of canvas that turned out to be! Absolutely chuffed with how it all came together.

Have we worked on something for your project? We'd love to see it! Share a photo or two—we never get tired of seeing these vehicles brought to life. šŸš›šŸ§µ

🧵 1965 Land Rover FFR Tilt – A Careful Canvas Repair Like we’ve been saying—we don’t just focus on wartime repairs. This time, we were contacted by a lovely chap needing help with the canvas tilt on his 1965 Land Rover FFR.

The tilt had certainly seen its share of use, so we set to work: carefully unpicking worn seams, reinforcing weakened areas, replacing missing straps, and re-sewing the parts that had come completely undone over the years. Every stitch was made to bring it back to life without losing its original charm.

Another classic saved, and ready for the road once more. Got your own piece of history that could do with a refresh? Drop us a message—we’re always happy to help. šŸ› ļøšŸ“©

🧵 Halftrack Roof Repair –Another repair job on the sewing table. a halftrack roof with a split seam in need of some care and attention.

Rather than just throwing a patch over it, we’ve done things the right way—removing the nearby strap, carefully opening up the seams, and sewing in a reinforcement patch. Once everything was secure, we reattached all the original hardware. Back to full strength and ready for the road again.

Photos speak louder than words,. Got something that needs repairing, recreating, or just some expert advice? Drop us a message—we’re always up for a challenge. šŸ’¬

Wartime Jeep Accessory – Tyre Pressure Gauge Holster Here’s something a little different! A recent client got in touch to see if we could recreate the classic tyre pressure gauge holster—these were originally fitted to the side of the driver’s seat in wartime Jeeps.

With the original specs in hand, we were able to faithfully bring it back to life, exactly as it would have been back in the day.

We’ve made a small batch of these, so if you’d like one for your own Jeep restoration, they’re ready to go — Ā£35.00 each.

šŸ“© Drop me a message if you’re interested or want to chat about a custom project of your own.

Jerry Nozzle Can Cover – Recreated, Most of us have a Jerry can with the classic Donkey Dick nozzle, right? This customer asked if we could recreate the cover he’s had for years—one that’s definitely seen better days.

We sourced the closest matching fabric we could find, then finished it off with military-style black oxidized eyelets and a sturdy press stud. It's now good to go and heading back to the client!

Stay tuned—there’s plenty more we’re repairing, recreating, and building in the background. Got something you'd like help or advice with? Drop us a message—we’d love to hear about it! šŸ“¬

Halftrack Mudflaps – Built to Spec! This week, we had the pleasure of creating custom mudflaps for a halftrack, tailored to the customer’s exact requirements.

While we’re still on the hunt for the classic American fabric we all know and love, he was more than happy with the alternative we sourced — a tough 16oz green material, reinforced with a metal bar to keep everything secure and steady on the move.

He even sent over some great photos of them fitted, and they’re looking the part! No more worries about dirt and debris flying up on the road. Defiantly looking better then the old ones don't you think

Got a custom project in mind? Whether you need advice or a full build, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a message and let’s make it happen. šŸ’¬šŸ”§

Bedford Canvas Works!

We've been hard at work , creating some Bedford canvas items. 🧵✨

Replicated from patterns supplied by our client, we ensured every detail was perfect. The client requested a specific fabrics d supplied it themselves. we don't stock this, we have collaborated closely to meet his exact needs.

We've carefully selected period-accurate hardware for the canvas items. The client also wanted everything to feature the relevant maker's mark and date. A big shout out to Military Stencils by Axholme Signs for their reusable stencils – they've been a game-changer! Helps give that finishing touch don't you think

We have a few more projects for this client, so stay tuned for updates on a vintage cab roof canvas and roller back canvas side doors.

If you have a project that needs help or advice, drop us a message. We'd love to hear from you!

**Show Season Maintenance Alert!**

As the show season is upon us, we often realize we've neglected some routine maintenance. Unfortunately, this often includes items like our tents.

We're currently repairing a small wall tent where the eyelets have pulled through. We've removed the old eyelet ring, sewn a reinforcement patch, and installed solid brass eyelets. We've also added a few patches where there was some fire damage.

Do you have something that needs repairing? Let us know, and we're happy to discuss your options!

**Exciting Update!**

Today, we've been finalizing the set of Daimler Dingo passenger seat covers, complete with the maker's mark and date stamps. šŸ› ļøāœØ

We've also been fortunate enough to receive the detailed specifications needed to replicate the canvas Dingo mud flaps. This includes the exact thickness of the steel, the bifurcated rivets, and even the precise way the seams are folded. šŸšŸ”©

If you're interested in a set of passenger seat covers or mudflaps, let us know!

We always have a few thing on the go just never have the time to post them.

If you need help with a project let us know, we are always happy to help

Preserving Heritage, Elevating Comfort šŸ› ļøāœØ

After over a year of careful work alongside our client, this vehicle interior restoration is finally complete! Every detail was meticulously considered—from the seat spring boxes to the very construction of the seats—to ensure that the original essence remained intact.

With 18oz tan canvas and Rexine-equivalent piping, every material was chosen to reflect the original craftsmanship. Even the fixings—brass and black oxide brass—were carefully sourced for historical accuracy.

In areas with no existing patterns, we relied on original photos and manuals to recreate each component with precision. A testament to research, dedication, and respect for legacy.

This beautiful vehicle has been returned to its owner, who is excited to bring it to the show circuit soon. So, keep an eye out for it at upcoming shows - you won’t want to miss this masterpiece!
