OCD and Intrusive Thoughts can be frightening and bewildering, but are highly treatable. Therapy will get to the root of what's causing these thoughts and behaviours, and then find ways to either reverse or, at least, reduce them so that they are not overwhelming. Hypnotherapy is especially helpful in identifying what's really going on in your unconscious mind, and then finding ways to negotiate with the obsessive 'part' so that it can relax and let you get on with enjoying life.

Clients with OCD can learn how to accept intrusive thoughts without acting upon them posts therapist Katerina Georgiou

P**n addiction is on the rise, but many people don't even realise they have a problem until they try to stop. Not only can too much p**n result in PIED (p**n-induced erectile dysfunction) but it can also lead to you seeking out images that don't fit with your values. The good news is, any damage done by watching too much p**nography can be reversed and a healthy s*xual appetite can be regained. This is one of the areas I specialise in so, if you think you might be watching too much, or the wrong kind of, p**n, get in touch at www.rachelfoxtherapy.co.uk.

P**n is now a much more mainstream component of many people's healthy s*x lives, however for some it presents a problem. Therapist Ian Richards, specialist in p**n and s*x addiction, explores the signs and effects of problematic p**n use.

Anger is a surface emotion caused by deeper issues being activated. Although anger can sometimes be a good motivator, it can also be incredibly destructive, to both ourselves and those around us. If you're struggling with anger, trapped in a cycle of losing your temper, then berating yourself for it, therapy can help to resolve the underlying cause and to turn your anger into a healthier emotion.

Like all our emotional states, seeking to understand our anger can reveal a lot about ourselves. Anger researcher and author of Why We Get Mad, Dr Ryan Martin explores how you can look at your angry experiences differently.

Hypnotherapy, or therapeutic hypnosis, can work wonders for quickly resolving long-standing issues, but many people are wary of ‘relinquishing control of their mind’ to someone else. Fortunately, the type of hypnosis we see on TV (think Derren Brown, Paul McKenna) bears very little resemblance to hypnotherapy.
I usually find the best way to describe hypnotherapy is like laying out in the garden on a hot day, sunbathing on a lounger, feeling incredibly relaxed and sleepy. You’re aware of your surroundings, you could get up and move around if you wanted to, but you’re so relaxed you can’t be bothered, you’d rather just lay there and enjoy the feeling.
Being in this ‘state’ allows me to speak directly to your unconscious, and that’s when the healing is really effective.
